Title: Re: One down... Post by: erkishhorde on November 19, 2008, 07:07:48 AM Looks like a nice piece of craftsmanship. I'm thinking saddle bag mount?
Title: Re: One down... Post by: TAftonomos on November 19, 2008, 07:31:34 AM Looks more like a passenger foot peg mount to me. Nice work. [thumbsup]
JD pro bender or Model 3 ? Title: Re: One down... Post by: voodoocati on November 19, 2008, 02:08:51 PM Looks more like a passenger foot peg mount to me. Nice work. [thumbsup] JD pro bender or Model 3 ? Thanks. Yep, pass. pegs. I didn't like the stock ones. I wanted something that matched the bike better. I think am might change a couple angles. No bender, all TIG welds and I smoothed out a couple to make it flow nice. More pics. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v97/dubstyl/Picture026.jpg?t=1227131669) Sprayed a little primer to get a better idea of how I like them. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v97/dubstyl/Picture028.jpg?t=1227131929) Before... (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v97/dubstyl/Picture025.jpg?t=1227132030) After... (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v97/dubstyl/Picture029.jpg?t=1227132127) I still need to mount a tab to for the guard, I'll probably make those with carbon fiber instead of using the original ones and plug the holes. Title: Re: One down... Post by: voodoocati on December 01, 2008, 07:17:44 PM Made one for the other side. Changed it some, still needs plugs, heel guards and paint on final design. I'm not totally happy with it, but I still like it better than the aluminum ones. :-\ Any ideas?
I only run them when I have a passenger, maybe 5% of the time, maybe less. Meh, maybe painted stockies and call it a day! Post by: DarkStaR on December 01, 2008, 07:26:35 PM How about making the l&r look the same?
That's what I've been looking for! :-\ Title: Re: One down... Post by: voodoocati on December 01, 2008, 08:37:26 PM I'll definitely make them the same. I just didn't like the angles of the other side and wanted to start over. I'm just not that crazy about this one either! [laugh]
Title: Re: One down... Post by: duc996 on December 01, 2008, 09:30:03 PM Looks really good! Matches the trellis frame [thumbsup]
Title: Re: One down... Post by: angler on December 03, 2008, 09:33:10 AM That is awesome. I'm thinking of making something similar when I buy/build my underbike exhaust so that the right side pass peg doesn't stick out so far.
Title: Re: One down... Post by: Ademoraes on December 03, 2008, 09:58:54 AM I think the angled one on the right side looks great! I also think that the silver swing arm is throwing you off. Maybe it wants to be painted black as well!
