[thumbsup] Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: brimo on November 19, 2008, 02:31:38 PM Termis and a tail chop make em look a bit less weighty round the a$$ too.

Can you see the SSS with an EBox and those rearsets. Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: craigo on November 19, 2008, 11:45:49 PM I'm thinking an M1100S with that gear on it will look pretty neat. there, fixed it for you. ;D You can't even consider the M1100 without the Ohlins. :) Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: mattyvas on November 20, 2008, 01:09:20 AM yeah but after speaking to another bloke on Saturday who has a 1098s and just spent $3k on suspension.
So don't know if I'd be that convinced that Ohlins is always worth it. Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: Spider on November 27, 2008, 01:39:14 AM yeah but after speaking to another bloke on Saturday who has a 1098s and just spent $3k on suspension. So don't know if I'd be that convinced that Ohlins is always worth it. don't tease Matty, what was the go of the conversation: he's ripped the Ohlins off? put cartridges in? front, back? both? spill em kiddo! Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: mattyvas on November 27, 2008, 01:46:52 AM No he didn't rip the gear off, he just spent $3k on having it re-tuned for him.
And being 100kg's plus, I think there was a fair bit of work done. But then if you saw the bike itself, a beautiful black 1098s with bling on it to rival your good self and the import company. Must get a snap of it one of these days. Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: Dockstrada on November 27, 2008, 01:53:12 AM Here you go Matty

Alas the 1100 at the show didn't inspire me also. :'(
Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: mattyvas on November 27, 2008, 02:39:18 AM was that going to be a snap of the 1098s in question.

Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: mattyvas on November 28, 2008, 03:34:46 AM She's down below under the rearset, it's called an Ex-Box from Quad-D
Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: mattyvas on November 28, 2008, 04:12:20 AM Just been messing about with colours on the M1100s.
I'd like to see with these combo's. Silver with black frame. (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3252/3064913943_5248903402.jpg?v=0) and Red with black frame. (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3154/3065752646_4535ab24ea.jpg?v=0) I think with these combo's the lack of a full trellis frame is blended out. Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: Spider on November 28, 2008, 10:56:26 PM now change the cans for carbon Termi's and your getting there!
Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: mattyvas on November 28, 2008, 11:09:15 PM Termi's are not for me.
I'd get either MIVV again or Quad-D or Zards. You get where I'm going though don't you. What's your news on a new machine? Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: Spider on November 28, 2008, 11:37:44 PM ah, just started today - went out and bought new gloves (Dainese Hellracers - frickin says something when you buy the product again - just so comfortable - tested 'the dual' but the side/blade "distortion control' (wank) panel is uncomfortable.
replacement helmet - Shoei X-11 unless anyone can suggest better....is next....then I'll start test riding.... 848 and Dos Verde's S4R (I haven't told Brendan this yet though ;D ) reckon I should try the 1100s? what's retail anyway? $18 odd? (no fairing - that will be SHITE for the highway and touring duties!) not sure over what the next step should be, will sit done with Dos and discuss, cause with only 9 months and 8,000km under my belt I don't want to go overboard....be happy with another 992ds engine actually! Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: bazz20 on November 29, 2008, 12:01:10 AM hurry up ya big skirt i dont wont you on the back in feb unless your happy being my pregnant dog [cheeky] [laugh]
Title: Re: 696 not so ugly Post by: Spider on November 29, 2008, 06:26:26 PM that's alright - just drop yours off - I'll get the wheels painted/plated dark grey and be away!
