This guy is a scientist of some sort, and his videos (on this channel) are always very cool and relevant.
Here he's showing video of Venus and Jupiter, their position in the sky, and how they're going to be closer to each other in the sky over the next 10 days.
What made this VERY cool for me is you can visualize the actual perspective of Earth's place in the solar system when you watch that. The angle is kind of Sci-Fi, and when you watch it, hopefully you'll get the visual angle reference.
Kinda geeky, but I had to share.

Very cool.
I play around with a dinky telescope now and then. The disk idea is fairly obvious when you are looking at planets, but the inside-and-outside of earth's orbit thing is explained nicely here.
All these hobbies are insidious and evil. Now I just want a nicer ($$) telescope.
and Ducati
and guitar
and tube amp
and high efficiency speakers....
That is really cool! Thanks for sharing!
[clap]
[runs to get out the telescope]
He is standing less than a mile from my house...
Stupid east coast light pollution... I'd be lucky to see a lit up 747 in the sky as a bright object

Take a trip out to the boondocks once in a while, you'll be glad you did.
Here the the bay area, it take a while to get out there, but it's worth the trip.
