Title: What are these?
Post by: duclvr on November 24, 2008, 04:58:06 AM
The dealer included them with the screws to remove the bikini fairing. But I do not see where they would go
and did not see them on any of the the parts breakdowns.

Well, with nothing to scale them it's a bit hard to tell.  But based on what you said, them that some sort of buffer or bumper.  Then might got between the fairing bit and the mount.  Sinxe I've never picked over a 696 w/ tools in hand, I'm just hazarding a guess

Yeah. Here they are next to a quarter for scale.

I replaced the bikini fairing using the two screws the dealer gave me.
I still can not find a spot for these "spacers" .

They look like the bolt spacers for the stock mirrors.

They are spacers for when you remove the seat cover thing for a passenger. They go between the fabric and the screw that holds the cover on.
