Anyone tried? Experiences? Pics? Ugly? Good function?
I have no FHE, but from what I've seen... Specifically when a person that had an 888 and had purchased a set of S&P rearsets for it, but they turned out to be for a Monster he was desperately trying to sell them because they were putting the pegs in the wrong place. I know that's subjective, but I know he was very clear that they would not work at all where they were. I think they were too high and too forward, but it's been a few years and I could very easily be wrong about that specific.
If it's anything like an old SS, then I've seen people do those and just add a spacer to one of the mounting points to change the peg position.
I hope that helps.
Not really informative w Monster rearsets on a 888, as I was asking about the opposite,
but thx f chiming in! [thumbsup]
Nones dunnit? :o
Ducster900 (the carbon shift rod guy) has (had) 900SS rearsets on his bike with a spacer on the rear bolt to rotate them forward more.
Yup, seen Ingvar`s SS mod.
Thinkin maybe 851/888 would be bolt-on and better positioned.
888 ones will have the brake master cylinder mount, which you need, and the same mounting holes. 851 are nothing like it - they have a different plate on the frame. apart from that it would be carby 900ss. you might find more stuff for them than for 888.
Good info, Brad, thx!
Checked today,
brake pedal build too much rearwards f having high muffler/system, maybe OK w low system.

Any pics by chance? I've been wondering this for a while.

You see the 35mm the pedal has behind its mount.
To clear my pipes pegs would end up an inch or so further out that the Monsters.
