Title: New toy! VW folks check out the madness!
Post by: JEDI PIMP on November 30, 2008, 06:00:38 PM
I have a friend who flies for the Florida fish and wildlife commission. One day i jokingly ask him to keep an eye out for VW's when he is out and about in his helicopter. He took me serious and found one.... he hovered and got the GPS cord. and then used Google Earth to get a round about idea of where it was. It turned out he lived close to where he spotted the westy so he drove by and got the name and address off the mailbox.
He gave me all this info and i forgot about it for a few months.
One day when cleaning out my backpack i found the info and said what do I have to loose.... so I called.
It was tough to explain myself about why I have people spying on his back yard but it all worked out in the end! She is home today!

Its going to be re wired, new engine, slammed and drivin just like it is....

I forget the Ducati world is a little different than the OG VW world.

It might fit my S2R inside!

Where are you in Fl? I just got done helping a friend of mine put his '64 back together in Bradenton/Sarasota area.I'd love to see that thing on the road like that, gives the "Shitty Splitty" some competition. How's the under carriage look (if it's even there)?
