Well, we took a ride today and noticed that the sign was gone....yes, gone. All of our hard work, passion, and risk down the drain. I'm not sure if the sign died of natural causes, or if it was taken down by some county type, but that corner is once again dangerous. Alfonso almost crashed my Monster (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=15743.0) there today.

So I ask the MOB: are you up for another guerrilla signage project? Shall we once again try to slow people down as they approach the most heinous corner in norther CA? This time, I say we buy a proper road sign and anchor it in cement with a steel pole!

Exactly what I was thinking. We'd need to get a few people to pitch in. We tried that last time, but few people contributed...so we rolled our own ;D

Why not petition for a legal sign this time?

Someone tried taking it up with the county last time, and apparently ran into a load of flak.

Perhaps a Guerilla Marketing sign...

"X people have died here because the county wont put up a sign"

oh ya, what about calling like "7 On Your Side" or some crap like that... elected officials move quickly when the news is reporting..

I'm riding NY day, but we may be able to do it after that. I need a few things:

1) A post hole digger (to borrow)
2) A co-conspirator

How bout I ask my wife to meet us with the sign...  I'll let you know how that goes... she is way cool, but this should be a pretty good test of a. her coolness and/or b. my cluelessness...

As for the post hole digger, don't know anybody with one, but Big4rents comes to mind...  scratch that, $55 for 4 hours (gas powered)

I have a buddy on the peninsula that may be able to borrow one for a day or so...  he's gonna get back to me...

I can go down & pick it up this week, could do Saturday, (can't do Sunday, unless I bring my daughter for a little vigilante initiation!) but I would need to be back in the city by 3:30 or so on Saturday...  or if that doesn't work, I can drop it by your place, Joe, and can come by & pick it up Sunday evening, or whenever works...

I think we're a couple of weeks out on vigilante action. I'll let you know the plan when it materializes. And thanks!
