Title: Re: Chopping and coring stock pipes Post by: spaceghost65 on December 11, 2008, 07:21:59 AM So I finished up with this project. I cut 4.5'' off of them and am happy with the way they came out. A good tutorial but I would like to add that a rubber mallet came in handy when sliding the sleeves up around the caps. Also make sure you grind the welds TOTALLY down on the caps or else you will have a hard time doing this. I also painted mine before i put the caps on so taping was easy with the sleeves slid down. Sorry for the craptacular cell phone pics. Looking forward to getting out with them.
