I can not fathom the expense and the logistics of doing that.

But then, I work in retail and hate the whole Xmas thing, Grumpy customers, screaming kids and way to many hours.

I'm spending my Xmas in a muslim country, (by choice this time) the best way to avoid the whole thing!

I'm not in the "Bah Humbug" group but I don't see why If you can't be happy, generous and loving with your friends and family during the rest of the year, why you should behave differently "because it's christmas".
I'm more of a "happy holiday season" type, so "happy holidays" (if you've got 'em ) to you all.

Ohh, yes, one of my wife's patients was complaining that her son and grand kids weren't coming for xmas dinner because they were going to do charity work feeding the homeless, selfish b*stards, where's the xmas spirit in that?

well i love xmas if you dont thats your fault , show your kids that vid and watch there faces then tell me xmas does nothing  [bang]

Now don't get me wrong christmas is a great concept, but like all those great concepts, democracy, communism, religion, speed cameras, they get hijacked by people with agendas of their own, but if you enjoy it and get something out of it then good on you all.

I couldn't really care less about the 'idea' of Christmas, but it is really for kids and it's a good reason to be with family & friends. Eat, drink and make an azz of yourself. That's my kind of Christmas.  [beer]

Just avoid all the crap, crowds at shopping centres and just have fun. It's not rocket science.  ;)

i feel for you heather , i love watching the kids leading up to xmas i do agree it over comercilized but theres nothing i do about that, having the hole family together for one day and watching the kids faces to me is priceless and i dont know how many more ill see so there special to me  [clap]

My two youngest loved the clip. They're already at me to take them to have a look at the houses that are lit up.

I think Christmas is great as it's a time in the year when I finally get a chance to stop for a bit, take a few days off, spend time wiht the family and watch the cricket, I usually have a few beers as well. [beer]

I also like it when I get a few presents, usually the new bike bling that I've purchased myself or gloves etc. Any excuse for me to get something I won't ordinarily buy. Bring it on I say.

I'd lov to get onto that action as well. My insurance assessor just called me today to say that they've written off my girl. R.I.P I'm now holding out for the "agreed value"

Have to agree that Xmas with young kids is what it's all about.
But don't have any and no don't want to borrow anybody else's. Unless they come from a third world country of course then I won't be giving them back!

For Spider and Dannog I think that between all of us, with all the spares we have in the "shed", we could build a bike for both of them....

After my trip home from work the last 3 days, I gotta say I just cant believe how the drivers are carrying on down here!! :o

It appears that they are going all out to reach new lows in ignorance, stupidity and just plain shitful demonstrations of rude lethal driving. [roll]  >:(

Ignorant  types doing 60k in an 80k highway in the middle and outside lanes blocking the stream of traffic (Chaos and cranky drivers abound ) [roll]

Old fella does a right hand turn from the middle lane across 2 lanea and in front of 80k oncoming traffic (Not speeding though so I guess it just CANT be dangerous can it??) :o

Car load of young P platers doing more texting, phoning and partying than driving doing a left turn from the far right across 4 lanes. Scary!!

I dont know about the other States but please you guys and girls out there lift your roadcraft/awareness a notch or three and watch out. Drivers are just going nuts, I have been riding on Vic roads for quite a few years and in the last couple of days the standard of road user has been the worst I have seen . [evil]

Please be careful, I'd like to be able to chat with you all next year and swap stories about New Year hangovers and all. Merry Christmas and make it a SAFE one.  [thumbsup] [moto] [beer]

Brisbane is like that all the year! But seriously, this time of year seems to bring em out, I don't agree that you should lift your "situational awareness" a notch or two though, it should be at peak all the  time you're on the road.

Anyhow fellow ducatisti and ducatista, all the best for the silly season, me and the lovely Marie are off to Malaysia for a couple of weeks, so will be able to hone our roadcraft punting some scooters 'round the streets of KL.
