Title: Are chains needed to get to Bend this weekend? Post by: SaltLick on December 03, 2008, 09:13:57 AM The family is staying at some resort in Bend this weekend, so Friday im traveling to Bend. Ive never been up there during the winter. I know i have to pass by mothers house to get there :o well sorta i believe i go past government camp on 26. Anyways, will i need chains to get over the mountain or would there be any chance at all that i would need chains? I dont want to have to buy them if i dont need them, but at the same time i dont want to get stuck up there without chains if there is any possibility of needing them.
