Sorry if it's old news but I only just read it last night in two wheels magazine
There is supposed to be a ride on the 14th of Dec

Why is it closing? That kinda sucks.  :-\

Something to do with their lease being terminated ... or at least not being renewed.

yeah the chick at RW reckons the owner doubled the rent on them or something. She wasn't sure what was going to happen with the place (knocked down, new leasee etc). Some of the staff were trying to get money together to open a coffee van on the side of the road up the road to keep the bikers in  [coffee]..

I think the last day it's open is the 24th of Dec. Sorta sux imo, it's something of an institution.

Any Ducati riders planning a ride up there ? Would be nice to represent .

Honestly cant say im going to miss the food,But the place is an Icon it will be missed    :'(

The "Sound Off" track (the closed section) is about to be opened to cagers again....   >:(

Have to agree with that, value was never the thing up there. but it was/is a great place to stop.

We'd better hurry up with sound-off take 2 then.

As for a certain somebody else  [roll]. Both would show a good comparison to their previous state though.

It got pretty frikkin busy. I headed up at about 8:00 to avoid the traffic jam that 500+ bikes would generate. (Instead of Motos, I got held up by pushbike riders  [bang] [bang] who thought it was cool to ride 3 or 4 abreast, refusing to pull over to let bikes past. Pls, go to France if you wish to ride in a pelaton)

I saw BigIain up there sporting his spanky new DMF Shirt, but that was about it. There was easily another dozen monsters that  I didn't recognise as well. There were so many different bikes of every shape colour and flavour. The turnout showed pretty awesome support for the place. Shit know where folks will stop now. :(

Jeez, if they did this to the 'Robbo Pie Shop' we would be stuffed both north and south.
Hope someone comes up with a solution for our poor northerners.
