Title: Carbon Fiber question Post by: pennyrobber on December 05, 2008, 02:19:33 PM I understand the difference between "wet-lay" and "prepreg" carbon fiber, but is "vacuum bagged" the same as "prepreg" carbon?

However, if you bag a wet layup it will improve the resin flow and will better ensure that there are no voids (assuming you used enough resin). "The three ingredients necessary for cure are heat, pressure, and vacuum.
