Title: DP touring seat for M696 Post by: Rambler1982 on December 11, 2008, 05:55:49 PM My DP touring arrived today, and I took it for a quick (COLD!) ride. ;D
It noticeably changes the rider position. I feel even more upright (which I like). Also, now my man-bits aren't being crushed into the tank. The seat also adds a few inches in height. Now, instead of feeling like I'm being forced into the tank, I almost feel as though I'm on top of the tank (I dunno if that's a good thing). The DP touring seat seems a bit firmer, but it's still comfortable. I hope it will be good for longer rides, as I plan on doing some 300+ mile trips eventually. Lastly, the seat didn't simply click right in. I had to use a lil force to get it to snap in. But now that it's in there, it wont come out!! I put the key in, but it's stuck... I turn the key hard, and nothing happens.... It seems almost as if I turn the key any harder the key will snap off. :'( Title: Re: DP touring seat for M696 Post by: Craig Thomas on December 11, 2008, 06:30:06 PM Sit on the seat, then turn the key. I've had that seat on mine since I purchased it and definitely agree on all the good points! No problems installing or removing mine, so there must be something in the way or...... good luck

That worked! Thanks for the tip. :) You've had no problems installing or removing the seat?? Even after I was able to get it out... it was sooo difficult to get it to click in, and required much pressure on the back end of seat while turning the key to get it to click out. I wish it would just snap in and out like the stock seat did.
