I think its time for a fresh new look, the dml had these colors lets make our own colors, these are stale as hell.

just thought with this being a new board and all we would start with a fresh new look to take us into the year 2009 and beyond thats all.

Maybe 2009 is a year to celebrate traditions?  ;)

What color?  These were choosen by a professional web developer, what are your creds?  Also, what is easier on the eyes?  Maybe black, but that is boring.  White sux.  Any others?

+1 - The color palette on the board is simple, neutral, and easy to read.

White background = giant light bulb shining in your eyes  :o

these colors are easy on the eyes yes but i'm sure there are other color schemes that are easy on the eyes as well and look just as "clean"
was on the other board for 2 years with the same exact colors, this being a new thing imo should have new colors tob has exact same colors

So make the beast with two backs with your monitor settings.    bang...instant new colors.

It would be so much more informative if people would just say what's on their mind - not covering it up in subtle over polite bla bla.

You're right about the colors from a design point of view, but I think the colors work fine as they are.

but do you see the difference between just asking if new colors could be done or if other color options were possible with little work versus saying the colors (which we all worked hard on choosing and then making work) are stale as hell and it's time for a new look?


One is a suggestion/request,  one is an insult.  The ability to see the difference is the ability to get things you want from other people versus them telling you to stick it up your ass.

maybe it comes off that way in typing but I didnt mean it that way.
I had no idea these colors were thought out i thought the board was made to look exactly like the dml the old one that was sold to some one?
I thought because people were pissed about the sale this was made to look like the other.
so I suggested that since this website is growing very big you should run your own colors
it looks exactly the same as the dml ,thats all i was saying. not trying to insult at all.

One option is to install something like Greasemonkey and simply run your own stylesheet for the DMF.  That assumes you're using Firefox.
