Andy55 (ex 1000) and I are heading to the caves Friday for a lunch run.
Meeting at Vaby's Cnr Stoney Creek Rd and King Georges Road at 8am.

This is the way I think we'll go to get out to the West.

You could meet us out on the corner of the M4 and Northern Road junction.
I'm am guessing we'll be there about 9:15 maybe before depending on traffic.

Hey that does straight through my old stomping ground when I was a kid - watch out for the speed camera at the top of the duck pond after you pass Revesby beach. - Super knows what I am sayin'

Yep, as soon as you go past the River rd turn off, it starts to get a bit more fun, a few nice sweeping left and right handers. It's pretty short but it's good for a warm up.

What time you hitting the M4 - Northern Road Point?

I'm out :(, just found out I have to go to my kids future school in the arvo and I  "can't be trusted to be home in time". Apparently I "loose all concept of time" when I am on my bike.
I also found out you have to go before a selection commitee to see if they accept your child >:(. Where the hell are we living, East - Friggin - Germany?

Thanks for a great day fellas, the weather held just nicely, a bit fresh at Oberon but not too bad.

I really like those photo's Matty, and your apprentice ('ello Melvin) is doing some nice work, he really is an artist is'nt he?

The only thing I did'nt understand, how is it when you are on an 80kph road that the knobs in boxes want to travel at 65kph - 75kph?? [bang]. That was my trip both ways on the Northern Rd.

Looking at your photos today made me want to get myself a decent camera.... so I spent about 2 hours researching the various sites for a digital SLR with a view to being able to get some nice shots of etc... Then I realised that in most cases it aint the camera it is the person taking the shots and their ability to see something others dont...  So I will save my money and stick with my little point and shoot and leave the really great photography to others.  I am happy to admire their works.

It's not all that hard Mr Morris. If you are really into it, get yourself a nice Nikon/Canon, and go and enrol in a photography course at a Community College. They will teach you the basics and I think it's a good starting point for any newb with a D-SLR. But you can still get decent shots with a point and shoot.

Hopefully, FELLA'S, on the 31st, WE WILL get some nice little portraits of my little girl!

The camera Melvin has is a Canon G9 12 megapixel
Point & Shoot which has manual and many other functions.

On the topic of camera's Matty  I hope to be able to pop in and get that camera this week [thumbsup]

The video camera we looked was a Canon FS11.
Not a big internal hard drive only 16 Mb but it has an SDHC card slot which will take up to a 32 Gig card.

Best of all it is very light unlike the cameras which carry a hard drive on the side of them.

ar yes as i found out the lighter the camera the less camera shake and small your brackets can be  [thumbsup]

One thing that happened to an Apprentice Electrician was the tradies put a broom handle through the sleeves of his shirt, behind his head, hooked the overhead crane to the broom handle, tore his pants off, winched him up and sent him out onto the street. The RSH went out through the garage door and hung halfway out in the middle of the street in the middle of the Rocks, just down from the Harbour View Hotel.
