Title: Odometer error
Post by: bdfinally on May 12, 2008, 06:29:41 AM
Went riding Saturday and did a 122 mile loop west of town. Filled it up sunday morning and it only took 1.97 gallons...that over 62 mpg, which make me smile, but thats got to be off some.

its totally possible to get 62mpg. My old 944 use to hit 60mpg, probably still have the receipts somewhere. ~1300 mile ride costing $63 bucks in the end on gas.

And if you are doing mile long wheelies, i wouldnt be afraid of a bad odo, id be afraid of a starved oil pump. :-X

'00 M750, Stage II jet kit, K&N filter w/open air box and Sil Motor conicals. Truthful I wasn't dogging it a bit as I was with a newbie rider. Still it sounds kinda high to me.
