I have a red 2000 M750. My rear cowl is badly scratched and I was thinking about just replacing it. I saw on eBay that someone is selling 3 new red cowls but the listing states "Fits 93 to 99 Monster only". My question is, what is the difference in the old cowl and the one on my bike??

I completely agree with BP, just paiint it.
And also, there's no difference between years for the seat in regards to the cowl.
Now there was a change for the seats in 2000 for how they fit to the gas tank, but the cowls are the same. And the pin that holds the seat to the frame has also changed around 2000, but the shape in the back for the cowl has not changed.
