I hope one of the smarty pant architects or engineers can help me out.
I would like to print out a list of the Command Aliases--those short cuts like l=line, tr=trim, dli=dimension, etc, that one types into the command line.
As always, Auto cads help function is worthless. It tells me a list exist, but not how to view it or print it out.
Thanks.
Complete list here:

There's also your auto.pgp file if you need to modify anything, and customize to your liking.

This file which is hard to find because windows hides the folder it's in, is what you want. It's specific to your computer. And yes you can be modify it just as long as you keep the same format (same amount of spaces and commas as the original file has.) It's a simple text file.

This is actually what I tried to find, but couldn't. How would I go about locating it? I tried a basic system search for the file but couldn't find it. [bang]
You guys are awesome!!!
I think it's usually in:
C:\Documents and Settings\(your user name)\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2006\R16.2\enu\Support\autocad.pgp
Currently studying for Site Planning. Bleah. Actually not too bad.

If you're running 2005 or newer I believe you can get to it through one of the pull down menus...like options or tools or something. I'd check for you, but I left my laptop at work. :-\
Go to help and type in acad.pgp...it
should tell you where it is.

Not sure if your asking me or fresh pants, the answer for both of us is the same: "No."
I'm an student just finishing up my Master's in Architecture, and Mr. Pants is architect.

this sounds correct, while in explorer you have to go to the tool pull menu and select folder options then click on view tab there you will see a "show hidden folders" box to check off. once you've checked it off the folders should appear.
Please take what i've typed with a grain of salt................just got back from a christmas party, good time!
can't believed I remember that
I need a vacation
I need a life
Why are you working on Saturday night?
Are you an architect?
I'm too drunk to type something resembling my condolences...............................................why do we do it? I think I need another drink [beer]
although it could be worse, like not having any work to do on a Saturday or a Monday or a Wednesday...............
Glad to hear you enjoyed the party. [beer]
Yes, I will be an Architect.
I'm working on Sat night b/c it is my Master's project and I have a draft due Monday.
Worse yet, I'm studying on a Saturday night.
you know it actually gets better (the work load)
I don't remember working late on a saturday night since school or when I started as an intern.
have fun and don't stay up too late!
I've worked late nights, weekends, and even a few Saturday nights.
But, Saturday nights usually don't happen. And if you are up all night, the offices I've been in didn't expect you to last through the whole day.
;)
(But seriously, it does get better)
Good luck DD! [thumbsup]
Well my future boss me is a pregnant dog, so I'm not sure how much better it is going to get. [bang]
At least I'll be getting paid (job), instead of having to pay to do work (school).
Well, getting paid is always a plus.
Especially these days.
