I talked with Toni yesterday and mentioned the cool happy holidays card.  She said the guys at AMS went to an old airport in Crowley and spent three hours running at the photographer to get the shot. I think it looks awesome, it's my best card yet. [thumbsup]

I have not bought a bike from them but I got a card.  For all the service that I've had done over the years, I guess I could have bought a Monster.  maybe a used one.

I am glad that I did not get this e-mail. "Happy holy days?" I know that this is fine to some of you, but I am not a beleiver of this (or any) religion. I know of several atheists on the board that are not happy either.  I understand the hallmark christmas stuff, but it should be left at that. I am pretty pissed over this. I will probably buy my motorcycles elsewhere from now on.

so in other news i popped my cherry and "dropped" my bike in the parking lot after a platelets donation at the red cross.  karma is a real mother make the beast with two backser i guess....   softest "drop" you've ever seen in your life though, guaranteed.

No, I am not joking. I am very glad that you do not get offended by what people say (unless they are threadjacking  ;D) and normally I do not. This was just not something that I expected from a motorcycle dealership, and I feel that it was not appropriate.  I have not said anything to the people of this forum who have said merry christmas, happy holidays, ect. This is a social forum, and I expect people to say what they feel. There is a difference when it comes from a place where I spend my money. I do not have a personal relationship with the business. I am a customer and do not care about their beliefs. They need to keep it to themselves.

Well hopefully AMS will reply to your email and smooth this over and make you feel better.  I doubt they intentially set out to offend anyone.  It was a nice gesture sending out cards and emails to people.

swanny offending people is...well, not possible.  but it was weird getting that email.  i'm a non-believer myself...it just threw me off a bit to get something like that from AMS...i just figured we would get the standard... "the holidays are here!! buy our stuff!!!!"  not philosophy 101.  or whatever you want to call that.

OK I don't agree with Zack and Mckraut but the Catholic side of me loves them both.  I know, it's a continuous penance and guilt thing.  There's nothing I can do about it they beat it into me when I was a little kid and my therapist says its a Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome thing.

Agreed. But this is not a religious debate, rather a comment an a unique marketing strategy that I dislike.
