I went back to h4 halogen bulbs from an HID kit, and i installed a set of Nokya Yellow 80/70w bulbs. When i go from high beam to low beam, it takes about 1 second for it to fully go from low to high. Is this how it was before? its been a while. the HID kit was instant high to low.
I thought my battery might of been weak/dead since i havent started her up in over 2 months and its freezing cold over here, so i threw her on my tender. Says the battery is atleast 80% full...
Not sure if its the brand, the fact that im running two or cause 80% battery juice isnt enough. I left the lights on for about 3 mins afterwords to check if the wires got hot, they arent even warm, so the wiring is holding up fine.
What year and model of Monster?
S2R1000 2006
whoops. need to put that in my signature. Why woudl that matter though?
There's differences in the wiring over the years, and knowing how old the bike is helps too, as far as what may be going wrong.
Is the headlight wiring totally stock?
ah. okay.
Yea its totally stock. Ive ran dual 50/55 and the 100watt output ones (actual power consumption ~60watts).
on my 04 620, when I use the flasher, there's a delay. When I use the switch it seems to be instant. Mine's always been that way, but I'm not the original owner.
Andy
mine's instant, both the flash and the switch... 05 620, PIAA bulb, but I forget which one
On my stock '06 s2r1k, it goes from low to high instantly.
Alright, i think its the bulbs. When the bulbs warm up, they flicker pretty much instantly. Ill snap some pics later tonight of my new lights. they look pretty cool.
Has anyone ever tried Nokya bulbs?
what happened to the hid
