It'd be worth a look see. ;)
i'd love to have a tiny aprilia 2-stroke.
but i'm 6'2", and over 200lb.
(i'd still take a look, though.)
Went through the Experienced Rider Course on base last Spring with a guy on one. Haven't seen him ride it since.
lookin' is always free...
The Aprilia RS50 was a very popular 1st bike for young gun sixteen year olds in the UK because of the licencing laws but they were fragile and tended to be thashed to within an ince of their life by said young guns.
To look at they are a piece of mobile art but not to practical for normal sized human beings [thumbsup]
I've never been normal nor practical [laugh]

DO IT!!!
go look at it. and if you dont want it, youre more than welcome to buy it and ship it to texas to me.
These come up for sale quite often around my area. $1500 to $2000 seems to be the going price, even see them with the 70cc kit. The ad posted its similar to the YSR50 but actually quite a bit bigger. I wouldn't mind having one in place of a scooter.
crapola.... I cant email the guy /gal from home (some email glitch), and there is no phone #
I'll have to do it tomorrow from work.

Work....tomorrow....Hell you say. >:(
I have the RS250 Aprilia and its the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Id say the 50cc might be to small for the average bloke. I know that the RS125 had to be flogged to get it moving, but was great through corners due to how light it is.
If you can go for the 250, it is the most under rated bike IMO
Don
email sent....... waiting 8)

I fibbed a lil and said that KBB lists the bike at 2g (which it does) , but that I knew of a bike with 250 miles on it in AZ in pristine condition for $1200.00 (made up part)
and asked if the bike was available to be looked at tomorrow.

Doh! Is he dreaming or is that what they go for?
Saw one on ebay a few weeks ago, was a 2001 w/58 miles. $2700 something with 15+ bids and still the reserve hadn't been met.
Makes me think I might buy the local one in A+ condition for $1500 and resell it for some goodies.

nobody in Bakersfield is gonna pony up more than 2g for a 50cc anything.
I might go 1500 but no more.

I never made an offer.... I asked him what he wanted for it, and then mentioned that I'd seen them for 1200.00
I wanted to see what he wanted for it. if it's still around on Saturday...I'll go look at it

I like the new lines "as is" and "no 20 questions"
Seized solid if you ask me, they are not quite so scarce here as our licencing laws actually forced you to ride a 50 cc bike at age 16 to 18 for a while until they upped it to 125 cc.
The RS 125 is a much better buy or eeven the Suzook engined RS 250 [thumbsup]
