I think that might understeer a wee little bit. [cheeky]
If that thing can hook up with all that torque it'll feel like a launched off a carrier.
neato. [thumbsup]
Where is he going to mount the 75mm?

With all that torque it could go under the car. Blip the throttle for proper elevation. [evil]
I'm surprised they didn't fab up some headers for that...
it's only a 500HP engine though [laugh]
At 2600 rpm! [thumbsup] I would think the car might need granny gears or a lot of shifting considering the revs won't go too high on that motor. Twin turbo's wouldn't hurt either! [evil]

Good article. However, it makes it sound like Jay came up with the idea and had it built which is not the case. He purchased and modified it.
"Randy Grubb lives in Grants Pass, Oregon. He was responsible for sending positive vibes to Jay Leno, who bought their 8,500-pound, two-seater Roadster in 2002. The hot rod measured 22 feet long and 8 feet wide. It featured a hand-formed aluminum body and an 1800-cubic inch, V12 engine originally designed for the M-47 Patton Tank."

at a relatively low RPM too!
i just think it's great that he did this. forget that he can't actually see over the engine to drive the thing
Hmmmmm. Dad has a 70 Fastback sitting next to the garage back home. I dunno, I'll have to convince him the 302 isn't going to be big enough ;D

dude, that's only got 3 digits for displacement. and they are low numbers too.
you must convince him. and take video of it launching.
You mean take videos of the engine shooting out of the engine compartment without the rest of the car? I'll give it a go.
