Title: Re: 696 carbon headlight cowl (pic heavy) Post by: sfarchie on December 26, 2008, 02:14:20 PM Very nice! Maybe if you're good, next Christmas you will get the CF fender to complete the front. [thumbsup]
Title: Re: 696 carbon headlight cowl (pic heavy) Post by: desmoworks on December 29, 2008, 07:54:17 AM I'm usually indifferent about carbon on a bike, but the 696 looks so much better with carbon bits to me... not sure if the OEM plastic bits are just extra cheesy or what, but the carbon really stands out nicely on that bike. Good job!
Title: Re: 696 carbon headlight cowl (pic heavy) Post by: lazarus7 on December 29, 2008, 12:23:57 PM yeah, i agree...
maybe its the satin/ flat finish on the nylon parts versus the sheen on the carbon whatever it is, i LIKE it....:) [thumbsup] carbon spine next, then front fender, then maybe tank panels. You can really see it in the 9th picture.

thats some kind of discoloration in the clear plastic covering of the brakelines, looks like a burn of some kind.... maybe the clear sleeve discolored from the heat of the brake fluid....? |
