Title: Mouse is in the House
Post by: Dusty on December 28, 2008, 07:58:08 PM
Hello Mobsters!  I am from the NMMR and am posting up to let you know that one of our members is in your hood.  DucMouse is visiting for the new year and will be there throughout the week and would love to get together with any and all of y'all either tomorrow or Tuesday for lunch or Friday evening.  She couldn't post herself since she has no internet access.  Here is her number if any of you would like to reach her: 505-363-9568.  Her sucky T-Mobile reception is sketchy so please leave a message.

Happy Holidays!!     ;D  [moto]

I had a nice lunch with Mouse today. [beer]

She might be up for a New Years ride if someone will take her cupcake and she can borrow some gear.  She should be able to use my spare helmet and possibly some of my other gear (need to check her shoe size).

Also she is definitely up for drinks with the gang on Friday night.  She is staying in Fairfield so I suggested Berkeley as a locale.   Any suggestions for good bars in Berkeley?

If she's going to tread all the way to Berkeley, Zeitgeist isn't that much farther...then she can get the full experience  [evil]

Zeitgeist is in San Francisco. 14 miles from Berkeley. And near the epicenter of all that is motorcycling in SF.
Corner of Valencia and Duboce (http://local.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Zeitgeist+near+94103&sll=45.39845,-108.896484&sspn=26.583808,56.601563&ie=UTF8&ll=37.7737,-122.422242&spn=0.01462,0.027637&z=15&iwloc=A)

I vote Berkeley because if I have to drive to the dang bar, you can too for once.

Definitely. 12 months a year of riding, more motorcycles than you can imagine, and hundreds of miles of epic roads. Oh, and the food ain't bad either.

Should we start a new thread for Friday night?

Breaking news! DucMouse is stuck without a ride to the bar on Friday.  [bang]  She can ride the train but would need a ride to and from the station.  Can anybody hook a girl up?  Give her a call - Save her!!  Help!!  :P

If she's going to take BART in from Fairfield, it's an easy jaunt from Zeitgeist. I'll ring her and let her know.

We had coffee at MotoJava this morning. Mr. Bacon decided to pose a bit:

OK, here's the scoop on transit. From Fairfield, she can drive to Concord BART:

Directions from Fairfield to Concord BART (http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=Concord+BART,+Concord,+CA+94520+(Concord+BART)&geocode=CcEDdezXGBhOFTBoQwId2_i5-A&dirflg=&saddr=Fairfield,+CA&f=d&sll=37.974616,-122.029867&sspn=0.00773,0.013819&ie=UTF8&z=10)

From Concord, she can park and take a BART train into SF:

BART Directions
 (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=Concord,+CA&daddr=199+Valencia+St,+San+Francisco,+CA+94103+(Zeitgeist)&hl=en&geocode=&mra=ls&dirflg=r&date=01%2F02%2F09&time=6:30pm&ttype=dep&noexp=0&noal=0&sort=&sll=38.02124,-122.2282&sspn=0.988784,1.768799&ie=UTF8&z=11)

The official BART site is available here:

The Concord BART station has free parking:
