ALL THE WAY !!
I am rooting for my boy Peyton, but also a lifelong Colts fan being from Indiana.
Everyone says Peyton is a dickhead.
bullshit.
Met him at a Indy 500 after party back in May.
We somehow hit it off and ended up talking for about 25 minutes.

wrong terminology given my track record.
Standoffish would be a better word. Not friendly.
14 to 10 Chargers. ;D [clap]
Lucky win. [clap] [bow_down]
:'(
Right now, i feel the same way as breaking up with an s/o. Seeing manning walk of that field is just painful.
I hate rivers.
After the second penalty it was funny to watch Manning stop warming up. [laugh]

Well he's got some free time now, you might want to give him a call. :D
go bolts.!!! if we keep up with going one step father in the playoffs every year, then we should end up in the superbowl this year. Sproles is a beast

Sproles definately deserves the MVP for that game...what a fantastic game he had...carried the team.
I could have done without the anouncers mentioning his height EVERY time they said his name [roll]
Honorable mention goes to the SD punter.
that guys placement was unbelievable on every kick!

Good game. Don't think the best team won though.

the colts and bolts have seemed pretty fairly matched for the last 4-5 years, I think that they respect each other as worthy/equal opponents and not as bitter rivals......now those pats on the other hand

The best team didn't win? If you can't stop Sproles from breaking off a 30+ touchdown run in OT not to mention from gaining 329 total yards then you don't deserve to win.
I like both teams and was kind of on the fence. But I noticed right away that Manning seemed to be overly serious, like he was almost being forced to play the game against his will. At least I got that impression from the expression he had on his face, whether on the field or the bench. Chargers seemed to play with more spirit. And Sproles is amazing.
i just think the whole OT rules need to be revised
i think if a game goes to OT it's a very intense game, and it shouldn't be decided by a 50+yrd field goal as it's been happening often lately,i think they should play a full OT Qtr and the team with more endurance & skill should win.
at least every team gets the ball, instead of just one with a good run down the field.
they tried to do the whole Golden goal in soccer and it sucked too.

I like the college system. Each team gets the ball on the opponents 25 yard line.

I kind of do too. But then there should be a limit. Last year Nevada and Boise State played through I think it was 4 quarters of overtime before Boise St finally pulled out the win. Playing 8 quarters is just too much to ask of student athletes.
The NFL games too often seem to be won in overtime by whoever wins the toss. But then if they couldn't get the job done in 4 quarters, maybe sudden death is the right answer. And, if the NFL considered going to the NCAA system, unlike the NCAA student athletes the NFL has a players union who would likely object to having to play more than 5 consecutive quarters.

Meh, that is a terrible rule. Let's not play the game, here take the ball on the 25. [roll]
I like sudden death. ;)

Ya...but an overtime quarter in college is defined as each team having the ball once...it's not like it's a full 15 min. quarter.
...and that was a GREAT ending!! I watched that game...I'm a 1996 Nevada alumni [thumbsup]. My wife went to Boise. [roll]

I like it in theory, but as Langanobob said...whoever wins the toss usually wins the game. :-\ That's playing the game even less since it's chance who gets the ball first.

Yeah, you're right about that.

Were you around for the 1991 or 1992 Nevada season when Chris Vargas was always coming off the bench in the 4th quarter to save the day? I have a picture of the stadium scoreboard during one game with the score tied at 55 to 55. Don't recall who they were playing but Nevada ended up winning that one. I think they still have the NCAA record for a comeback during another game, being behind like 38 to 7 (don't recall the exact score) in the third quarter and winning the game. That 1991 team was the best and most exciting team I've ever seen in any sport or league. Can't imagine what those players did for an encore for the rest of their lives.
I'm not a Nevada alumni but I've lived outside of Reno for years and I'm a fan - as long as they're winning.

[laugh] Ya...I forgot about that. Chris Vargas and Fred (I think) Gatlin. Whenever one got booed, they sent the other one in to clean up. ;D 1992 was my first year there. I was at the bowl game in Vegas that year against either Ball State or Bowling Green (can't remember which) where Nevada got dominated in the 1st half, then returned the favor in the second...only to lose due to a bad snap to the punter. Poor Chris Ault...can't ever seem to win the big game.
The best football game I've ever been to was the one against UNLV the year after UNR's coach split and went down south. Ault took over for him, and UNR pummeled them in Reno. [clap] I still remember wathching the mascots get in a fight before the game, and the people in the south end zone throwing the UNLV field goal kickers practice balls over the back of the stands so he only got like 3 practice kicks. Classic. [laugh]
We'll see their make this Saturday. 8)
