(http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2009/01/04/education/04edlife.Uno.span.jpg) Ben Gulak, a freshman at M.I.T., going for a spin on his Uno, an electric motorcycle that has side-by-side wheels and achieves balance using a gyroscope. and it occurred to me that Mr. Smarty-Pants MIT doesn't have the common sense to wear a helmet on that contraption? If ever something looked like it would give you a solid face-plant, that thing does.
