Title: Where to go in Austin, TX for new tires? Post by: hooksem on January 06, 2009, 01:08:21 PM Just curious where people are going to have new tires installed. I assume I can buy them cheaper at CycleGear and have another shop install them. However, who do y'all trust not to nick your rims? I have an 07 S2R1K.
Thanks! Hooks'Em Title: Re: Where to go in Austin, TX for new tires? Post by: jdubbs32584 on January 06, 2009, 01:14:05 PM It might be useful to post up in the Texas Hill Country Local forum: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=32.0. The locals might have some better info for you.
I believe Austin falls into the "Hill Country" geography but I'm not sure. Title: Re: Where to go in Austin, TX for new tires? Post by: hooksem on January 12, 2009, 07:31:28 PM I ended up at Zabor's and they did a good job. I went with Michelin Pilot Power 2 CT. Wow, what a difference. i had been running a BattleAx up front and a Dunlop Qualifier in the rear prior to the change. I already feel more confident in my turns. Maybe it's all in my head, I dunno. Whatever the case, I'm glad I made the move. It'll be interesting to see how many miles I can get out of them.
