...although I've had the Pampered Chef version of this thing for years...and it opens to clean just like his. [thumbsup] They are nice.

We have the PC also, and have used it like twice in 4 years. Any kitchen gadget like this is a waste of money IMO. It takes 4 rounds of chopping to get enough to use in your recipe.

Really? I use mine all the time. If I'm only chopping a small amount I don't because it is harder than a khnife to wash...but if I have a lot to chop (especially if it needs to be chopped fine) then I for sure use it. You have to cut the vegetables into smaller pieces first (i.e. quarter an onion), but it's still way faster than chopping and dicing by hand.
