I got this sweet Duc jacket from Michael Moore about two years ago. He brought it back from Italy and gave it to my parents for their engagement. I wasn't able to wear it until now. Is this too big? I don't wanna take it back, not after all the work the Blonde did to get me here.

I really like the jacket. I think it makes me look more mature. See . . .

I wish it fit properly. That would make buddah baby happy.

P.S. This is my first DMF post. I figured since I was wearing my new Duc jacket, it was moto-related and I should post in General. I'm pretty new to this interwebz thang.

Well done, Spidey! She's gorgeous. May your life never be the same...
We have 5, btw (wife had 3 when we got married, and we've had 2 more.) :o Keeps life interesting, I'll tell ya. But it's the best ride ever. I took my 20 month old to the Bike Show in Long Beach last month, she wanted to sit on a bunch of the bikes...and instantly reached for the throttle each time. Made "vroom vroom" noises while she did it, too. Who said chicks can't ride?!
Congrats man.
Congrats to you all!!!
What a cutie [thumbsup]
Congrats ! [wine] to you and your entire family.
I suppose no late-night boozing in a NYC bar with some NYMMCers for quite some time ?? .. ;)

Yeah, it's our first. Don't worry, I took the suggested safety courses and bought full gear. Her name is Ziv, pronounced zeev. It's Hebrew and roughly translated (very roughly) means shine or radiant. First ride was picture perfect. Here are her specs.
Wet Weight: 7lbs 11oz.
Wheelbase: 20.5 inches.
Model year: 2009
Service Intervals: About every 3 hours.
Annual Maintenance Cost: $11tyb
Fuel Capacity: two boobs.
We were scheduled to pick her up at the dealer on 1/11. Last Monday eve, the dealer called and said she was ready. About six days early. So we started on our way. It was a while before we got to the dealer to pick her up--about 8.5 hrs. That was a long ride. The Blonde almost wanted to turn around and go back home. But once we finally got to the dealer, it was ok. Ziv was ready for her inaugural ride about 1.5 hrs after we arrived (3:34 am 1/6). No additional delivery fees or taxes--no drugs or stitching. Apparently, the Blonde is as good at birthing as I am at putting motorcycles--and myself--onto the asphalt. And we have a pretty reliable local dealer. In fact, the dealer was kind enough to remove some excess tubing around the frame rather that turning it into a DYI job. The Blonde and little Ziv are doing just peachy.
With about 6 days on her, I'd say she's breaking in quite nicely. Those stock pipes are damn loud, and I've noticed some strange fluid leaks from her lower cases. The mechanic assures us that the leaking is totally normal, and will resolve itself with more miles. There's lots of excess body motion, but she'll get her suspension dialed in her for weight soon enough.
Overall, she's a good first purchase. Now if only she came with a warranty . . .
Congrats!
But don't you think she needs her own screen name? Some possibilities:
Itsey Bitsey
Larva
Do I smell a naming contest coming on?
Congrats! [thumbsup]

It's not the warranty you'll be wanting, it's the owner's manual. Don't tell me you forgot to pick yours up from the dealer?
I tell you, I'm still looking for the "off" switch on mine, and he's over 11 years old now... [bang]
At's a good lookin' kid. [thumbsup]
I saved her little picture, title Spidey's 1st kid - filed under important motorcycle stuff.

Congrats to Spidey and the Blonde! [thumbsup] If only the D Store sold infant-size leather onesies...

[laugh] Red key?!? He's a '97 model. No such thing....
Spidey's new one probably comes with all sorts of extras that hadn't even been invented yet when I got mine... [cheeky]
I'm told as things get broken in, the backfiring will diminish.

The backfiring is normal. It's the stuff coming back up from the gas tank that'll get you.... :P
