Hey, I was in town for less than 24 hours when I spotted a tangerine & black Monster heading east on Hwy 94 at the Mark Sheffel intersection around 5PM this afternoon.  Was that a SoCo DOG?

If it had Arrow exhaust, it might have been our fearless VP, Steve R!

I didn't notice the cans.  I was across the intersection and was checking out the headlight and fairing, thinking, that could be a DUC.  Then when the light changed, I craned my neck to see the trellis and Ducati on the tank.  It had a cowl.  Rider was in black and had a small backpack. 
  I have to go back to the Hood tomorrow.  No Monster this trip.  WDB did my brakes on the Princess car for me.  Next trip which will be the weekend of June 14th, I'll be on the bike.  I am coming up on the 7500 mile service and am going to need new rubber, too, so you may see me at the shop as well.  I may have it done up here.

Abunch of squids headed down I-25 on my way home yesterday.  At first I mistook them for real sportsbikers, but when they started standing up and down on their pegs and trying to do reverse triple lutzes, I stopped waving.

I wish!  No, about six of us from the local club rode up to Deckers and hooked up with Randimus and Stella from Denver, and another cool guy named Basil on a 999S.  There were a couple other Ducatis in another group, I dare say I saw more Ducs than of any single other brand (except maybe Harleys).

I saw that one this morning on my ride to work.  He was headed west on Platte when he passed me sitting at the stoplight on Powers.  Sweet looking paint.

But on the subject of gear, this is a prime example of why gear is important. And I take this route to work everyday. (I live near Village Seven). Heart felt sympathy goes out to their families...... :'(

The article seems to state they slammed into the car (possibly speed going down the hill on N. Carefree and someone was trying to turn into Picturesque circle). Cops love to watch that street, and I never speed on it. Neither does my wife who used to go tot work that way and always saw people getting pulled over.....

White 848 south bound on Powers near Platte, round'a'bout 5pm looked to have a Termis exhaust. Anybody know anybody with one?

Yep.  Screams squid.  I'm 2 for 2 in busting helmets during crashes - the last was a face impact with the pavement - not fun.  Both times I walked away with minor scratches on my face.  But, the helmets were completely destroyed.  Cheap face insurance.

He showed up here at the shop shortly after that.  Bought it at Wal-Mart...I mean Fay Myers!  Sorry, that wasn't nice. I'm biased!

Oh, and I saw a black Multistrada yesterday (6/18/08) Southbound on I-25.  And Another white 848 on Cimarron, don't know if it was the same guy.  Stupid white 848's, can't swing a dead cat without hittin' one of those!

Saw white 848 east bound on Fountain this morning (6/24/08) around 7 am.

Also saw Monster (750 me thinks) on Flintridge/Academy Saturday morning around 8am. Looks like you were out for a ride!

I know it's the wrong region, but today I saw a Monster loaded in the bed of a beige truck just south of the mixing bowl on I-95 just south of DC.  The reason why I'm posting here is because he had CO plates on both vehicles.  Was it anyone here?

That's funny!  It sounds like I made a quick pit and was off!  Probably should've taken two as well.  They are squaring off fast.  Some guy from Switzerland said he had never seen tires worn all the way to the outside yet flat in the middle.  I got a performance evaluation in Sterling.  I guess the days of getting a warning are behind me now that I've gone over the hill.  He wasted no time telling me he got me at 97 in a 75 and he was writing a ticket.  This is why I don't live in Colorado anymore.  They just don't appreciate The Fy.

It was like a pit. I keep wanting to tell you that the cops here in CO are a lot more bored than the NM boys. You just fly around like a bat outta hell. I was so busy trying to figure out where the tags were done and then battling traffic for another 2.5 hours trying not to get killed on my way to Philly that I can't even remember if it was black or a dark.  [laugh]  I did notice that the person had the bike strapped so it was resting on its sidestand.  *tsk tsk*

Could have sworn I saw bonfy on Sunday around 11am or noon.  Can't remember now if it was when I was on 470 or I-25.  Red Monster with what looked like a huge para-demon on the back.  I was on Whitey with my buddy Joe on his RC-51.

That WAS me!!!  I saw you see me!  Lance pointed you out on Whitey!!   It was right when I was passing through Monument.   Talk about a small world.  I only saw one Duc in Sturgis, actually it was in Spearfish Canyon.  And a 696 in Lusk, Wyoming.  Talk about a lack of scenery. 

Awesome!  What are the chances?  Well, I guess pretty good, considering how much you ride!  That was cool!

1) Red ST*  we were on the side of the road almost to Deckers, you rode by with a bunch of other bikes.
2) Who was the cat with the Black and white s4r in Deckers.
3) Monster low, low clip-ons parked on the west bound side of Hwy-24 about noon, glimpsed you through the trees by Waldo canyon.
4) Almost forgot, Sport Classic and Black and Red Monster south bound through Deckers... shoulda pulled in and said hi, there was only like a whole line of Ducs.....  ;)

Saw a Red ST? with a corbin seat (i know this cause the back rest was up!) heading W on A. Bluffs today w/ 2 cruisers.

Red Monster coming back down 24 around Chipita Park(Probably an S4R from the look. Two older model Monters gold frames red tanks, decent amount of mods. I followed you guys outta Manitou and up 24 a bit but I'd already done it a couple times and was getting tired so I turned around.

I think I saw Cooleye in Garden of the Gods headed out on 31st St yesterday about 1:30.  I was in a cage driving tourists around.  I was like "hey, coool a Ducati" and then it was like "hey, hey, that's Cooleye!!"

I guess he didn't have a wedding yesterday.  Yesterday was the bom for riding and I was stuck driving a CAGE.   [bang]

Saw a silver Duc racer with "16" on the side (Paul Smart?) on Fillmore around 10:45 this morning...  hope I wasn't drooling too much.  Nice bike. :)

Multistrada in Canon City heading east on Hwy 50 around 1:15 this afternoon.  I was coming off a side street.   You waved first.  [moto]

Yes, it was I,   thought it was you Bonfy,I was running on fumes and had to gain fuel fast, you were behind a track when I turned right. tried to find you on my way to springs but you were long gone, imagine that !! [laugh]       

Aha!!!!  What a small world!  I took 115 into the Springs, did you go I-25?  Today I ran down to Taos to meet up with Kingbaby, Dusty, and HunkyPunk.  It was cold over La Veta Pass no matter what the weatherman predicted.  I didn't want to stay at high elevations all the way home so did the Eagle Nest/Cimmaron/Raton route back.  It was a phenomenal ride.  Lots of twisties, but wasn't comfortable getting too crazy on them with cold tires and possible gravel from last week's dusting. 

I don't see too many DUC's around canon,it's even nicer when it's someone you know!!   I should have braved it and pulled over, I rode all afternoon before dropping the bike off at the shop for it's service. could'nt beat the weather,it's global warming I tell ya  [laugh] [laugh]

That's exactly what I was trying to do - get my mileage up to 15K before taking him in for his service.  I put 1005 miles on between Monday and yesterday, just running around  Canon City, Salida, South Park, and then Taos.  I still need 600 more so hope we have at least a couple more warm days before  Christmas.  I didn't realize that you either, or I would've pulled the trigger to see where the fire was.  [laugh]

Beautiful yellow 1098 pulling onto Hwy 24 from 26th Street around 1:30PM.  I hoped to watch him carve the canyon, but he turned off on 31st.    [bow_down]

I spotted a Black SR riding down Tejon whilst I was waiting at a light today!  The bike was fairly nondescript, but the rider's jacket was probably visible from space.....  Hi!!

Better late than never!  Monday around 1:30:  yellow Duc headed west on Woodmen Road near Academy.  Black jacket and helmet.  Looked sharp!

Saw a pair of tri-colores in Woodland Park today about 1245 on Hwy 67.  One was a Monster and the other a 1098.  I saw the dude on the 1098 at the shop on 21st ST about an hour earlier.  I also passed a pair of bikes, one a yellow Monster, with a chick riding it at about 1230, the guy she was riding with had a red non-Ducati bike with temp tags. 

Looks like you got Scottish moved in and made it back to Colo. safe.   

Guess you wont be needing my 1098 for the cancer ride today. 

Saw a HyperTard, an MV, and a **98 southbound on the 25 late this morning.  I was northbound on a beemer.  Guess I'm getting old.

Blue is awaiting a new chain and sprockey and different bars and other miscelanious stuff.  And her tyres continue to get destroyed by the cold weather, so she's waiting till all this is done and warmer weather rules to come out and play again...

             Yeah, I was headed to Thornton to get paperwork signed for the title on the kz1000, third trip, it's gettim old. Had a good ride, spotted too many bikes to keep track of. I would have posted to see if anyone wanted to join Me, but it was a last minute deal. Where were you headed??   still have to read You're new thread!!....... [coffee]

Yes, I made a run down to ABQ yesterday.   Anson is doing the 15K service on my bike.  I thought about posting up to see if anyone wanted to accompany me part of the way.  But I had no idea what time I would actually clear town so didn't want to keep anyone hanging.  I went down through Salida and Alamosa.  It was a beautiful day for a ride.  I was loaded pretty heavily due to packing all the parts and oil and everything we'd need since the shops are closed Sun and Mon.  One of my NMMR riding buddies came up to meet me around Antonito.  I am heading back tomorrow around noon, same friend in tow, probably up to the state line.  We may do Angel Fire and then out through Cimmarron to the interstate.  Depends on the weather.

So how is that run from Salida to Alamosa? It looks awfully straight on a map.

I just made the ride back from Taos on Sunday, but we came up through San Luis, Ft. Garland and La Veta Pass. We debated the Alamosa/Salida route though.

It feels even straighter than it looks on the map.  The best part of that leg is that short little jaunt over Pancha Pass.  But, it is the quickest route and things get pretty again after Tres Piedres.  Coming back, the scenery was awesome between Abiquiu and Chama, and then between Chama and Antonito on Hwy 17, there are lots of sweepers.  It adds an hour to the trip, but it's a really fun road.   :D 

The road from Ft Garland South is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo freakin' straight!!!!!!!  Last time I rode it was 2007 in gale conditions.  The only reason to go thru San Luis is eat at the Italian Bistro there!  Otherwise speeds in excess of Smith's ticket is the only way to ride that road.  I am a fan of La Veta Pass.

Yup, Questa to Ft. Garland is pretty boring. Let's just say it is a good thing there were no LEO's or I'd have been walking. We were in Chama the previous day though, so did not want to backtrack that, so the choice was up to Ft. Garland and head east to LaVeta, or west to Alamosa and then north to Salida. We picked La Veta, and then branched onto Hwy 69 to Westcliffe and  Texas Creek to avoid I-25.

HWY 69 is unbelievably beautiful.  I'm going to do some camping and relaxing down in that area this summer. 

This morning around 8:40, on my way home from work in Monument (on I-25), I saw a white 848, a couple red Multistradas, and a number of other interesting bikes so I guess everyone was heading up for the Automezzi.  Wish I couldv'e done that ride, too, but I am on the way to Oklahoma for a few days.  Looks like Denver has some weather which going on right now that is heading east.  Hope no one gets caught in it.  I was pinned down in Castle Rock for an hour last Monday night by a serious storm cell with huge bolts of lightning.  No bueno. 

   Yep,it was Us,going to check out Italian toys.  And yep, We got a little wet, wasn't too bad though, seen some really cool cars and bikes. Shannon will post pics in a bit, have a fun and safe journey... [moto]

At 4:50 earlier today, I spotted a white 848, rider wearing olive green t-shirt and khaki pants headed north on I-25.  He exited at Rockrimmon.  Then at 5:10, I spotted a geared-up rider in black riding a red 1098 or similarly-featured bike north on I-25 around the Filmore exit.  I was heading south this time and was unable to determine the model.  I need to study my Ducati brochures so I am a better spotter.   :P

Today I went down to La Baguette and then Pikes Perk to hit up some expensive empty calories, and when I was illegally parking at the Perk, I saw a 1098S(?) in red parked in front of Starbucks.  Then whilst in the OCC visiting some friends, I saw a 998 (or 996, or 916) in red with gold three spokes (if I'm remembering correctly)...  That's one of my favorite designs of all time.  They were truely fun to watch in Superbike, as they'd throttle out of corners, and get that magnesium SSS flexing.  Nothing like it, and that's probably for the best, but dayum!

Yesterday, I was taking my pseudo-nephew to the incline and came across another guy riding a red S*R looking totally nonplussed at his clone squidding up the road with a junior on the back.  I used to be an ATGATT kinda guy, but what can I say, I'm backslidden...

Anyhow, love seeing the Ducatis out there, hope to see more of em.  Where are y'all?

 I rode back with KRJ and saw a red Monster heading west on HWY 50 right east of Salida.   Rider craned his head to look, knowing he'd just passed two cookin' Ducs heading the opposite direction.

Blue is finally coming together quickly.  Need to source a couple more parts, but I'm getting there pretty fast.

Tuesday, August 18, I spotted what looked to be a dark blue M900 turning left onto San Miguel northbound Academy, maybe it was Monday, now I'm not sure.  I was driving Roxanne, my new toy!!!

  Yesterday, 15th and hwy 50, in Canon City, ST3 headin' west. Anybody here?

Looked like an m900 dark north bound at Powers/Galley area 3 Mar around 3pm. Also a yellow 1098 at Apex Sports downtown. Anyone on here?

We saw a red multistrada on Royal Gorge Blvd yesterday in Canon City around 11:30ish.......And I would have sworn it had one wheel in the air after it came out of the parking lot!  :o 
Do we know anyone else in Canon City with a red multistrada?? 
I'm sure the guy we all know in CC wouldn't ride without a helmet & popping wheelies!!   [cheeky]

Oh and fyi, we were in a SUV. If we were on the bikes we would have posted up a ride or at least chased you down (maybe try to chase you down would be more accurate).

Right around 4, I was heading back to the stable after job hunting.  Man, I hated to waste this beautiful day wearing interview clothes.  Would far rather have been leathered up and hitting some twisties.  There were lots of bikes out for a Monday.  Glad you could get some saddle time in.  Lance says hey!  He stays home with the ferrets on the days I job hunt.

Red Monster spotted at the corner of Curtis and Hwy 94 about 5:20 pm on Monday. I was out riding my bicycle !

Today at 4:15PM, Red Multistrada at intersection of Garden of the Gods and Centennial, heading east.  Not you, KRJ, unless you switched out your gear head to toe.

  Nope, havn't changed, but I have been out of action with a health issue of late. So far I'm on the mend, might be a little while before I can ride. It does give Me time to work on the bikes   [thumbsup]

I think there are alot of monster riders in Colo Spgs that arent on this board. I saw what looked like an OD green monster with headlight fairing going east on Platte (near Rocky Mountain) around 9:15 this morning. Rider wearing red/black jacket and helmet.

Black Sport Classic near Cheyenne Canyon a few days ago, then today on I-25 around 3 pm i saw a  red 1198

White Monster heading east on Barnes past Oro Blanco around 3:45PM today. Guy in fatigues.  Gave him the head nod as I was trying to head out of the Diamond Shamrock there on MY red Monsta!

Lady on grey SS1000 half fairing. No helmet, Red/Cream leather jacket and beige plaid backpack going north on Powers around 2:30. Was hoping to stop next to her at the light and see if she was on the board but she decided to turn.

7:55PM:  Black Monster with silver trellis, turning onto northbound entrance ramp, I-25 and Cimmaron.  Rider fully geared, black jacket with charcoal helmet.  Looking good!   [thumbsup]

Red Hypermotard with new tags and passenger turning south on Tutt from westbound Barnes  today (Monday Jul 5, 1:20PM or so)... I was at the light when you guys passed, and you probably saw my sky-high eyebrows and open-mouthed jealousy as I speechlessly pointed at your bike! Looked like fun!

Bonfy I saw you today driving your big ol' truck!  That was me on the s1000rr.  It is AMAZING

No WAY!!!!   Was that you on Fillmore that gave me a wave and thumbs up?  I wanted to get up next to you guys at the light, but was stuck a few rows back.  When I finally caught up as you pulled onto I-25, I didn't see a Ducati.  I thought it was a Yamaha and something else.  I wonder if that was some other guys.  I might not have seen you.   ???  Oh, well, cool anyway.   [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

Ya, that was me.  I was on the Grey demo BMW S1000RR and the other guy was on the new white Multistrada.  I was the one that turned around and waved.  I saw your big dulley with the Ducati logo on the back and said to myself that has to be Gloria because there isn't any way there are two people that cool running around here.   ;)

Wow!  Then that is TOTALLY cool!  I am embarrassed that I didn't recognize the 848, but only got a quick glimpse as you guys turned onto the entrance ramp.  And I went totally out of my way to try to catch up with ya because I usually go south on I-25 at that intersection we were stopped at.  Good seeing you down in our neck of the woods.  Yeah, I doubt there are any Dodge Ducati's quite like mine around these parts.   [cheeky] [bacon]  It's Sex on Six Wheels.

Late model ('08-'10) red Monster with stock pipes heading north on Tejon St at approx 2:00PM.  Guy in white t-shirt, full face helmet.  I had my '09 696 parked at Tejon & Kiowa while I ate outside at Il Vicino when you rode by.

I'm not sayin for sure, but I thought I saw an S4R Monster, grey with red trellis, resembling Godec's steed.  However, this rider was scantily clad for the occasion, so I am sure it wasn't Godec.   (Yesterday, around 4:00PM on Centennial Boulevard).  Rider had blue t-shirt, red ball cap (maybe).  I was not in the Redflag.  Princess car this time.

White Monster heading east on Barnes and turned south on Iron Horse around 6pm or so Monday- guy in fatigues.  Believe it was the same dude I saw mid-June.  I was heading out of the Diamond Shamrock on Oro Blanco on my red 696 while the fire was being put out at Borriello Brothers.

Yep, that was me!  And I saw you two, as well.  I recognized the red hardsides at the last second.  I made a late run up to Pine Junction with one of my sons friends.  He was on a 1999 Kawasaki Z9.  Wasn't it a perfect day for a ride?  Where did you guys go?

Saw several a-holes on bikes yesterday.  We would've ridden, but we had just finished a Bishop's Castle and Cripple Creek circuit on Saturday so our asses were still sore.  Working up the miles!!!

   Oh Yeah, Spring is Blooming, and the Idiots are are budding out everywhere. Sucks to see them on Ducs, but the Ducati brand does not discriminate, and They will act that way no matter the venue. We will place Ourselves above all that and represent a True Professionalism of the Riding Community, with a few wheelies and minor traffic infractions, etc. Not that I would ever Ride like that...

All black Diavel this past weekend (can't remember if it was Sat or Sun- gettin' old!) at King Soopers gas station Powers & Stetson Hills.  Two-up.

Diavel Carbon in Black. Me and the wife were out for a ride - at the time still trying to log the break-in miles. Since then first 600 have been logged and fresh oil added. Anticipating some amazing Colorado rides! Just moved to the Springs 8 months ago. Diavel was my retirement gift.

Look forward meeting other Ducati enthusiasts.

After Ducatitorrey's admission of uncertainty as to the actual year and model of the two he most recently saw, I feel at liberty to post my sightings recently of what looked to be a red Multistroodle, a black with silver trellis Hypermotard, and then a red Duc of unknown year or type, but they were all turning onto the street in back of Photo Stencil.  I always see them fly by in a flash so I can not get a reading on who this mysterious rider of many different models might be.  Almost wondered if he works at a shop to have such a variety at his disposal.  Jealous.   [thumbsup]

Today Sun 8/21 from 8:30 am to 11:15 am, a Red/White Monster SR2, escorting bicycles down Cheyenne Canon Road after they had climbed up 1250 ft in 3.1 miles with the final 1000 meters a constant 10% grade [clap] This was during the Colorado Endurance Sports Cheyenne Canon Time Trial.

I spotted a black monster with carbon pipes in Telluride a few days ago.
I was out there for the last ten days as part of the Speed Triple Rocky Mtn. Rally. Had a blast enjoying one of the most beautiful parts of the country. [bow_down]
I got a speeding ticket in Mesa Verde State park, though. The cop said I was doing 97 in a 45. I doubt that but the speedo on my friend's Triple did not work.
Anyone have knowledge of tickets in state parks and how they translate to the real world (points, etc.)?

4/12 (I think) I saw a cream w/ red stripe S2R800 riding around Uintah and 21st street.  At first I didn't realize it was a S2R because of the black chassis.  It was pretty good looking! But I was caging so I couldn't chase down the rider and invite them to the site.  I did head in the same direction up Uintah to the freeway.  I love the sound of Ducatis!

The Americade is a great rally held in a beautiful location if you ever get the chance it is a good time. Wish Ducati was here this year but they decided not to come this year or maybe Volkswagon decided.....farfromgroovin
Saw lots of other Duc's both riding around and parked but without camera in hand.

Four Duc's yesterday, three were part of our ride a Multi 1000 DS (black), Mutli 620 (Red) and an 848 (White), we were well represented with Ducati colors. We were also joined by a pair of Hondas, a CBR F4i and a V65 magna. Need some more of the local Duc's to get out there!
Lastly I spotted a Streetfighter (White) turning west on 24 from the I25 Northbound lane around 4pm.

While at the X Diavel Test ride at Bandimere speedway there were other bikes to drool over in the event parking area.
