Title: pick up points for DSS Post by: The Don on January 16, 2009, 03:19:56 PM Hello there
Has anyone fitted pick up lugs for their DSS. I have just bought some and there seams to be no factory thread for me to fit the lugs to. Can you tell me can or should I fit them and where should they go. Thanks in advance Don Title: Re: pick up points for DSS Post by: JEFF_H on January 16, 2009, 03:21:48 PM you mean spools?
Pit bull makes some inserts you can drill and insert in the swingarm (http://www.pit-bull.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/F0013-001SM.jpg) Title: Re: pick up points for DSS Post by: The Don on January 16, 2009, 03:25:45 PM Boy you blokes are quick

About on centerline, far enough forward of the axle that your stand doesn't interfere with the axle/nut. Try to drill a good, smooth hole, no raggedy edges to start a crack. Drill small, and use a tapered hand reamer to get it just big enough to slip the rivnut into. (http://www.pit-bull.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/F0013-000LG.jpg) i dont think it is critical where you put it...near the rear axle where you have room for it (and not blocking access to the axle nuts. FYI- I was taking with pitbull about these and they said if you want to ship them your swingarm, they will weld the spools on for no charge... just a thought.
