Title: Taillight Bulb Question
Post by: ArabicaMan on January 18, 2009, 02:57:08 PM
Here's my odd electrical question for the weekend:  I blew the fuse for the headlight/taillight on my S4Rs; a 15-amp fuse.  I replaced the fuse today and the headlight comes on just fine, but the taillight doesn't light up.  But...when I apply the brake, the brake light come on as it should.  So my question is, does the taillight bulb have more than one filament (that might have been damaged when I blew the fuse), one for the taillight and one for the brake light?  I'm trying to figure out if I have a bulb problem, a fuse problem, or perhaps a different issue altogether.  Thanks for the insight.  Cheers.

A-ha!  So in that case, it sounds like I just need to replace the bulb.  Cool; thanks for the help, ducpainter.  Cheers.

Make sure you put the new bulb in so the dimmer filament is lit with the tail light...

It will go in either way.
