Anyone else going to be at the Moto show in Cleveland next weekend?
B and I will be driving in from Buffalo.
We'll be around Saturday. We will hit up the Great Lakes Brewery Pub (http://www.greatlakesbrewing.com/) for dinner Sat night. Any and all are welcome to join us. [beer]
i went to the one in D.C. two weekends ago.
good times. saw some nice stuff, including the DucPond custom 1100s, and some sexy cafe bikes.
wish i would have bought the AGV GPtech Rossi helmet that i wanted... discounted to $500...

Not going but I am having a GLB product as I type this thankyouverymuch. Word to the wise - while the bike show runs through Sunday, GLB is not open on Sundays.
Funnily enough, I just got an email from GLB and Blackout Stout is still on tap - one of my absolute favorites. Take home a growler!

a bunch of us at desmohio.com are going up. I'm sure we'll see you up there. Not that I know what you look like.
Here is a link to our thread there. We are kinda disorganized but I think there is some info in there about what we are doing

I'm headed up, but I'm not sure when. I'm only 25 minutes from Cleveland, so I kinda have to go.
Well, what did you see?
We ended up not going. :-\
Stayed home and worked on my car instead.
you would have seen
a mile long line to park and an $8 parking fee
a PACKED exhibition hall with several vendors selling knock-off Sham-Wows
MANY MANY MANY people in their full riding gear (Harley style, not MotoGP style)
A lot of neat bikes and more scooters than I would have expected to see.
a Ducati BUILDING inside the building with the new models on rearstands so you could get a feel for them. (I'm now in love with the GT 1000)
I didn't take pictures, but should have.
The IX center is a neat building. It was a tank factory during WWII and has been converted into a convention center of sorts. It was worth the trip, but I don't know how people can spend all day there. We looked at everything twice and were done in under 3 hours.

Basically then, I didn't miss a whole lot other than 2009 models and the sham wow knockoffs since my last visit over 5 years ago. For being the biggest real bike show in the country, I've never been that impressed really. I keep saying that I will go each year but always find something else to do like taking my dad, son, and nephew to the Globetrotters (five minutes from home) this time around. Maybe next year.....
The only difference was the dealership has several of the same model and no GT in stock last time I was there. Interestingly enough, Jeff (the dealer) was working the show, so even that was the same.
