Title: Who makes custom RED signal lenses to order? Post by: NorDog on January 21, 2009, 11:26:52 PM Looking to run Kellermann bar end signals on my bike but I want the rear lenses RED so I can rig em up at brake lights too.

Is it specifically made for this purpose or is it some sort of translucent candy type automotive paint? Is the paint on the outside or the inside of the lens? Anymore info would be appreciated.

Thats not my car, but my last BMW I did that too. Only the red shows through so no more amber. Paint is Testors model spray paint in translucent red. No noticeable difference in light output on them either. When I did mine I just masked off the reverse lights and sprayed the whole lens. Obviously with just a turn signal lense you dont have to mask off a reverse light though ;)

Is that legal, Is it safe? On the back, yep, and yep. One of my bikes already has and electronic Run/Brake/Turn module. The kit came with red lenses for the rear. Now the rear signals are red, and they operate as running lights, turn signals, and brake lights. |
