Post by: RED on January 22, 2009, 09:48:19 AM Well, I don't about you all but the weather is so nice out today and looks to be the same tomorrow, so Flash Lunch (a little early I know) at Chuy's Dallas, Friday @ 11:30-till. If you and your Duc (and also to the Ducati-Challanged) are in good riding shape ride on over and enjoy the weather on the patio with fellow DFWMer's. I'm showing up around 11:30 cuz I gots to get back to toiling back downtown by 12:45 or so.
Not that this is a tech session or anything but if someone can take a look at my chain and sprocket setup and give some advice I'd appreciate it, heck might even buy ya a Marg!....(hint hint...Bryant, Brian, Svoloch, McKraut, RichD, RonR). I'm hoping I can take my bike in for service and ride out with a new S. Wanted the PS at Euro, but I'm a credit criminal it seems. I know they don't want to keep them on the floor so I'm thinking when things loosen up a bit that will happen. My riding style now seems to be pointing to something I can ride harder. The bike is almost the same everything as last years 'R'. It's not going to be an easy sell to spousal unit but it is afterall our 20th anniversary. You know, it's kind of sad that as good as the 848/1098/1198 bikes are they have not yet acheived the fabled bike status of previous Ducati bikes. By that I mean the famous "designer tag". Who designed that line of bikes? I don't know who he/they are. Does anyone? EVERYONE knows who Fabio Taglioni/Dr. T is and what he did, then there are the Tamburini bikes and the Terblanche bikes. All are immediately known at the mere mention of the name. But the name of the designer for the new line of SBKs seems to be hidden away in the dark shadows of the factory.
