Title: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: Ducatiloo on May 13, 2008, 08:57:44 AM On 5/04/08 Red Monster, over by the Catholic Cemetery.
Sounded like cored exhausts. Title: Re: Spotted in Waterloo WI Post by: LUKE on May 13, 2008, 10:00:25 AM Not me but nice to see some other WI board members.
Title: Re: Spotted in Waterloo WI Post by: Ducatiloo on May 13, 2008, 10:05:06 AM Not me but nice to see some other WI board members. We should start our own local club on the DMF. I can't think of a good name. Any ideas? Title: Re: Spotted in Waterloo WI Post by: aaronb on May 13, 2008, 11:23:53 AM i started a (the only) thread in the mocha board about WI riders. I am in milwaukee
Title: Re: Spotted in Waterloo WI Post by: LUKE on May 13, 2008, 11:34:24 AM We should at least start a thread about good roads and destinations for WI rides. In fact we should do that before our fellow DMFers (that cracks me up) come up to Road America next month.
I'm actually in Appleton and only about 45 minutes from RA. Title: Re: Spotted in Waterloo WI Post by: J3 on May 13, 2008, 11:37:35 AM Milwaukee here too, wish the weather this spring would make up its mind. Seems like whenever we get a warm day, it is ridiculously windy. Anyway, I'd be down for a Wisconsin get-together/ride when the season gets nice. Would be cool to do it out in southwest WI where the roads are a little more interesting.
Title: Re: Spotted in Waterloo WI Post by: LUKE on May 13, 2008, 11:49:49 AM A visit to Lake Geneva could most likely include our North Chicago friends as well and greatly increase our odds of seeing women in bikinis.
[moto] (I wish there was a SCHWING smiley) [cheeky] Someone call Grazi, plus there's a silver S2R1000 somewhere west of Green Bay as well as a Dark in the Fox Valley that should identify themselves. Title: Re: Spotted in Waterloo WI Post by: Ducatiloo on May 13, 2008, 11:54:41 AM DONE [thumbsup]
I"m at work so I can't do a write up right now. http://ducatimonsterworldwide.org/index.php?topic=1840.new#new Title: Re: Spotted in Waterloo WI Post by: aaronb on May 13, 2008, 12:04:18 PM Milwaukee here too, wish the weather this spring would make up its mind. Coalition Of Wisconsin riders Title: Re: Spotted in Waterloo WI Post by: J3 on May 13, 2008, 12:12:03 PM A visit to Lake Geneva could most likely include our North Chicago friends as well and greatly increase our odds of seeing women in bikinis. I have a silver s2r1000, but the tank and front fairing are in for paint to address some shipping scuffs from my recent move from Louisiana back to WI. Goodbye hated black stripe [thumbsup] If you want to see bikinis and get harassed by the cops, you could cruise Lincoln memorial and loop back around on lake drive to do it again... [roll] As far as fun rides in SE Wi, good luck. Seems like the Kettle Moraine areas are the best bet, but then you have to watch out for deer and people on horseback, SUVs, etc... Mods etc.

Goodbye hated black stripe [thumbsup] you werent at road america on saturday were you? cause there were two silver s2r1000's rolling around and only one of them was mine. said hello to guy and nice bike (giggle) but that was it. Title: Re: Spotted in Waterloo WI Post by: LUKE on May 13, 2008, 01:32:02 PM Tell Statler we won't need a mod. It's too cold in Wisconsin for boobies.
Title: Re: Spotted in Waterloo WI Post by: Ducatiloo on May 13, 2008, 01:41:32 PM Insane running the asylum :o

Nope, my tank has been at Heinz 57 auto body in Grafton for about 3 weeks now. Ducatiloo - see if you can change the title of the thread to "WI Riders Check-In Here", I would hope that we get more than 5 people... As far as a mod, I'd volunteer, but I don't know if I have the time. Title: Re: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: Ducatiloo on May 13, 2008, 02:05:04 PM IT's been updated, good call.
I figure I would be willing to mod, and with one more, and the small amount of WI riders we could cover it. Title: Re: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: J3 on May 13, 2008, 02:11:03 PM Nice, hopefully we can recruit a few more.
On a side note, anyone know what is up with WADE? They have a site and a forum but it doesn't appear that anyone has posted for a good year or so. Also, seeing how Corse SBK is only a few miles up the road from my place, I'll probably talk to them about letting me leave a recruitment flyer or somesuch thing up there to recruit a few more members. I don't think that DMF is a "for profit" entity so hopefully they won't have any objection. Title: Re: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: LUKE on May 13, 2008, 02:16:23 PM I don't think that DMF is a "for profit" entity so hopefully they won't have any objection. Bratwurst and Leinenkugels are the only legal tender here in Wisconsin. Title: Re: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: J3 on May 13, 2008, 02:25:18 PM MMMmm usingers... bring me a Sprecher Black Bavarian too. So glad I left LA to return to Good Beer Country again.
Not so sure about COW, I mean Harley already took HOG. We might want to let them retain the monopoly on naming clubs after barnyard livestock. ;D Title: Re: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: Ducatiloo on May 13, 2008, 02:33:55 PM MMMmm usingers... bring me a Sprecher Black Bavarian too. A Cow with a trellis frame for a body..... [cheeky] Title: Re: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: Kyna on May 13, 2008, 02:37:05 PM I'm not a rider yet, but I figured I'd still check in. Am I the only female in a sea of male Wisconsin riders?
Title: Re: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: J3 on May 13, 2008, 02:45:13 PM welcome, where's our beer and brats? [drink] [thumbsup]
Title: Re: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: Kyna on May 13, 2008, 02:55:42 PM I'm making a batch of brats right now...but I'm pretty sure they've already been claimed (along with the summer shandy in the fridge)
Title: Re: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: vwboomer on May 13, 2008, 08:15:24 PM I live in Sheboygan, currently in Flagstaff :)
Rode and ended up in Delafield on various roads 2 weeks ago. Didn't see any Ducs! (on the ride back to0k 94 to 43. stopped in port for gas and realized my rear cords were showing. doh!) At some point this summer I'd like to do a ride to SW WI. $$$$$ tho. Title: Re: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: LUKE on May 14, 2008, 04:48:04 AM hey boomer.
I wonder if CorseSBK or WADE already has a ride we could crash. Just something to jumpstart our own group while we work members out of the woodwork. Title: Re: WISCONSIN Riders Check-In Here Post by: J3 on May 14, 2008, 05:15:16 AM Corse is having the 696 open house on the 16th and 17th, I'd like to ride up if I get my tank back by then. Otherwise I'll have to take the cage :P. Either way I'll be there on one of those nights. Not sure about rides as Corse doesn't update their calendar anymore and who knows about WADE. I'm going to start a thread about a business card/flyer that can be printed on a standard PC printer. It'd be nice to have something professional looking to spread the word at similar gatherings.
