I am looking for spare parts for carbon cans on a S2R1000. Specifically a new arrow badge and the stainless rings that are riveted on each end. The .pdf below shows the parts but I have been unable to find an American supplier. Has anyone ordered Arrow spare parts? I have tried AMS from Dallas but they don't seem too helpful.

I assume this has to be cheaper than buying new cans.  ???

BTW what parts did you end up replacing? Just wondering if the SS ring is just a simple, drill out rivets and rivet new piece on.

I bought a set of encaps with baffles but have yet to install them.  You are correct though...... just carefully drill out the rivets & replace a re-install some new rivets.  The Arrow ones are stainless & I've heard that new stainless one's are a pregnant dog to install if you don't have a stainless puller.  Another member used Alu. rivets & then polished them to match the rings.

Yeah, I will keep this thread up to date. See the before picture below.
I am talking with ducpainter now to see if the carbon sleeves are salvageable, the scratches are only in the clear cote. If i have to order the carbon sleeves from Arrow it might end up being a deal breaker for the repair. We'll see what kind of prices Arrow comes back with next week.

So it looks like I will try to save the old carbon sleeves and re-clear.

lol... I emailed arrow/usa  in Las Vegas a year ago for the same thing; they never got back to me (after an initial email back and forth)... So what I did was email arrow/it and someone named Daniella (I can only imagine!!  [evil] ) and she sent me 6 arrow badges but no stainless steel bands. To make a long story short, I drilled the rivets on the offending band, rotated it to the unoffensive side and re riveted it back on. Easy peasy. Then put on Daniella's badge. Done deal.

What's the diameter of the tubes?

Not sure on the diameter as they are still on the bike. I'll pull them off tomorrow, drill the rivets and check the ID and OD of the tube. Looks like a good price on PJE tubes. It would nice if I could get both tubes out of one 500mm section, we'll see.

Anyone else have experience with SS rivets? Is it worth the headache or just go aluminum?

I just did the same thing. I damaged one Ti can in a lowside. I chopped off six inches from them. I used 3/16 diam by 1/4 long ss rivets I got from my local West Marine boating store( as recommended by another DMF`er) I needed new stainless straps. I got them from Greg at Arrow. He`s very helpful. The rivets are not that hard to install. The new SS are hard to drill out than the originals but they look identical. Just go buy a $15 rivet gun from HD if you don`t have one.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if my standard rivet gun would have enough bite to pull the SS rivets.
