Title: Back in Austin
Post by: moto-zen on January 24, 2009, 01:53:17 PM
So it looks like I'll be back in Austin this week. I was there for the first time during the last week of December helping my sister move. I really like the area. Especially Georgetown. I'll be hitting up the job agencies and probably UT to find a job. I'm still open to pretty much anything. If I can't find anything here I might attend http://www.uti.edu/tabid/59/Default.aspx (http://www.uti.edu/tabid/59/Default.aspx) in Phoenix. That's kind of a second choice because of the increased distance from any family. I'm open to any ideas if you would like to help a brother out.  [bow_down] However, I realize I'm among the many looking for a new life now. [cheeky]

good luck!  I don't know what the job market's like in austin, but in general, it seems like Texas is holding out much better in this economy

What kind of work are you looking for?  Mine is one of the few companies in Austin still doing some hiring.

My experience is in hospitality, commodities, forklift operation, and Auto CAD certified. I'm willing to learn something new also. What does your company do?

We are relatively new technology, so our tools are only found in research labs and universities so far.  We do have a large CMOS manufacturer that has one of our tools  - we are now working on a production worthy model for them now.  We also have tools at the big hard disk manufacturers - the next big iteration of hard disks will be using our technology.
