Title: Installed Rizoma zero 11 turn signals Post by: asado on May 13, 2008, 12:15:31 PM First off this things are bright and they look good as an added bonus. :) They are identical to the Zero's but instead of multiple LED's, they have only one LED and the metal stalk is now rubber. I believe that the metal stalk is causing the housing to crack due to vibrations. The replacement rubber stalk is flexible and will absorb most of the vibrations.
Installation was pretty straight forward, the only difficult part is finding a place to hide the gigantic load boxes. They are about W 1 and H 2.5 inches. Total of 4 load boxes, one for each signals. Only place that i found to hide the load box for the front signals is in front of the air filter housing. I used a 3m double sided tape to hold it in place. For the rears, i placed the boxes inside the side covers and again used the 3m double sided tape to keep them in place. Its been 3 days and 160 miles and they are (load boxes) still in place [thumbsup] (http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/3764/img2936aa0.jpg) (http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/5554/img2939vg1.jpg) (http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/8963/img2942xd4.jpg) (http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/8742/img2943bf9.jpg) (http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/792/img2954my2.th.jpg) (http://img138.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img2954my2.jpg) (http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/392/img2950bx1.th.jpg) (http://img138.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img2950bx1.jpg) (http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/3274/img2965rq7.th.jpg) (http://img502.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img2965rq7.jpg) (http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/2782/img2963ei1.th.jpg) (http://img502.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img2963ei1.jpg) Load box (http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/9029/img2973ag6.jpg) (http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/3954/img2976st4.jpg) Title: Re: Installed Rizoma zero 11 turn signals Post by: Juan on May 13, 2008, 01:08:00 PM Sweet, very nice. asado; Can you take pictures of those load boxes, and tell me what they are for. I am considering replacing my sock turn signals. I also would like to know if they blink faster than the stock signals.
Thanks for your help.. I am considering replacing my sock turn signals. I also would like to know if they blink faster than the stock signals. Thanks for your help.. Thanks. Pics are up. I believe that the turn signals are made for 10v and our battery is 12v. It will burn the LED if connected directly. The blink rate is the same as stock Title: Re: Installed Rizoma zero 11 turn signals Post by: Juan on May 13, 2008, 02:33:51 PM Nice, and thanks for the information, I have been looking for nicer turn signals, but the ones I found they all blink faster than the stock, and I don't like that.
Again man, your bike is looking better and better every time. Thanks. Title: Re: Installed Rizoma zero 11 turn signals Post by: Pancake81 on May 14, 2008, 02:17:53 PM those llok really nice man. I just did the tail chop and integrated rear light. But I now have to do something with the fronts, perhaps this will be my answer.

Asado, as always, very nice. Title: Re: Installed Rizoma zero 11 turn signals Post by: skurvy on May 14, 2008, 05:03:34 PM [thumbsup]
I've got these on the way too but I'll be using the Track 77s up front. I figured the load boxes would mount on the front of the airbox, seems like the only place for them. The rears wouldn't fit under the seat? [laugh] Asado, as always, very nice. haha, thanks but no new mods yet at the moment ;D skurvy, Its tight if you place the boxes under the seat (not enough room due to the tool kit). Title: Re: Installed Rizoma zero 11 turn signals Post by: skurvy on May 14, 2008, 08:36:34 PM gotcha, thanks for the heads up... I take it, it's two wires into the box, two wires out? Just connect the two wires from the bike's wiring -> load box -> signals? Is it that easy?

Title: Re: Installed Rizoma zero 11 turn signals Post by: hay13 on June 18, 2008, 07:09:19 AM asado - I like where you mounted those big boxes. I was able to sqeeze mine in beind the headlight. After moving it around a few times I found a few spots where I can zip ty them in without any clearance issues. When the front wheel is turned all the way to the right you can see the box but it blends in well enough.

skurvy, Its tight if you place the boxes under the seat (not enough room due to the tool kit). How dare you call that thing a tool kit. ;) andy Title: Re: Installed Rizoma zero 11 turn signals Post by: Delmar on July 09, 2008, 08:46:55 PM Hey Asado,
We haven't met personally but I wanted to first compliment you on your beautiful monster. Second, I would like to know if you could e-mail me a couple of pics of your Rizoma Reservoirs setting. I'm planning on doing exactly the same setting but on my 999S. I'm pretty sure your Rizomas are the CT027B (they're the biggest, shortest, most capacity reservoirs they make and of course on Black). I'm having problems trying to install them on my bike because of the clip-ons. Thanks! Delmar |
