I have a problem and hope someone can help me without having to go to the bike garage at £50 and hour!! I have a 2004 S4R. We had a cold spell in London over Christmas and I had a lot of trouble starting my bike. I finally got it started and went for a good long ride to work. However I just could not get it going to leave work, not even with some jump leads and had to get it recovered. I have since put a new battery on, new spark plugs and I still cant get it started. That's about the limit of my skill.
The started motor turns over, but the engine just wont fire into life at all. I suspect it may be something to do with all the cold/wet weather we have had. Any ideas please???

2) If you check, you should find option to move this thread to the "tech" section, where actual competent people may see it.
3) Do you know if you have spark? (if you don't know how to check, let us know and we'll walk you through it).
Can you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key on?
