I just had a few questions.
Are they reliable?
Any problems with yours?
Is there anything you dont like about yours?
After owning it for a while do you still enjoy it or does the feeling of crazy power wear off.
Im considering trading my 51 Olds for one. None of my friends own one so I would like to get your opinions on the bike.

Straight up?
I would but it would depend on the Busa. If they price out about the same than yah I would theres about 15k in the car. Were you looking to unload one?
I wouldn't suggest it. A few years ago a friend of mine bought one and let me ride it. I don't know where you live but if there are any good twisties nearby, you won't be able to properly enjoy them. The power IS impressive.... but, it handles like a pig in the curves.

No, I was just thinking you could get more selling it outright rather than trading it for the 'Busa...

and after buying a house and getting married ...........................................out of the market. [cheeky]
I know it may not be as agile as the S4 but I was looking for something that has a ton of balls and I can still lay down behind a windscreen in the rain or on a long haul. It seems like the right combination. Plus the past year has not been a good time to sell toys so I figure if someone with a Busa wants an old car we go title for title and were both happy.
I've heard that they can be set up nicely as a sport tourer.
I've heard the sport-tour thing as well. Never have to worry if you've got enough power to pass on that long hill.
No FHE with the 'Busa, but I had it's predecessor of sorts. I had a 1985 GS1150, different technology, but it was the 'Busa of the time period.
Reliable - check, fast - check, really fast - check, oh-shit fast check, handling - good for the period, brakes - outran them the second I thumbed the starter
I sold it because I originally bought it as a 2-up long range bike. My fiancée was scared to ride on the back because of the crazy power hit at about 5K.
If you're not looking for a super nimble bike but want something crazy fast that feels like a rocket engine lighting off as it spools up, you'd enjoy a 'Busa. Just remember that it doesn't handle as well as a lot of people think it does. I'm sure Suzuki put excellent brakes on them, but no FHE ~
JM
Earlier models had the rear subframe crack, that should have been sorted under warranty though, other than that they are pretty bulletproof.
Get the suspension sorted by a proffesional and they even handle a bit, but never like a litre class sportbike.
Heavy on rear tyres [bang]

I was going to do that! Then I realized Ive got no time to ride my current bikes let alone go touring. Great idea though. [thumbsup]

i think the busa would be great as a second bike. my best friend has one and uses it as his daily bike. the only problems hes had out of it in 15k miles is the starter button messed up from water getting into the switch and the starter gear messing up. they fixed the starter gear problem after 03 (i think) but other than that hes had no problems.
i love riding the bike and it is a blast in straight lines but like its been said before they dont handle too well. im sure his would have handled better, but when i rode it he had just bought it and it was lowered and wasnt done properly.

lowering a bike is a great way to compromise the geometry. that's not good for handling.
