Title: To those that have powdercoated your 696 rear sets Post by: golgofett on February 02, 2009, 10:17:59 PM I met a guy who is going to do some powdercoating on my bike. I want to do the rear sets black, but when he looked at them, he said it looked like they have some kind of coating already, which would have to be removed before powdercoating. Did you guys have them sanded down, or just powdercoat over the original finish?

or you could sand em back, but that'll take a bit of time. That said, they had a little trouble with my chrome headlight ring.
