Is there anything you need?
Get well soon Jim. Have them tape the IV drip set up out of the way.
Man that sux. They put me on the preventative clot therapy after my accident. Shots in the belly for 3 months was no fun!
that sucks.
just out of curiosity, do they only give drugs to dissolve the clot or do they ever go in and try to pysically remove it?

I've seen them remove clots in our vascular OR from legs and such. Dunno if they'd do that in Jim's case though.
Sorry to hear, Jim.
I noticed you weren't around much yesterday.
Get well soon. [thumbsup]
Get well.
My co-worker just had a clot in his leg - he had to take a lot of meds to break it down and flush it out.

I had to do the belly shots, too. Not as much fun as the ones in the bar!
Get well soon, man. See if you can convince them that Jack Daniels is an anticoagulant.
while yer in there, have some embryos implanted..... in 7.5 months.... you'll be rich
So....should we change your name to "GotClot"?
Heal up man.
Aw crap, man, that sucks. BP's right - that can be all kinds of bad without treatment. You're in the right place. Get well soon.
That is a lame situation from all angles. Hope you have a speedy and complete recovery.
Just curious, do you have a DVT?

I'm supposed to give myself shots for 2 more weeks. I guess I really
do need those. Glad to hear that you got to it before it did any real damage. Clots in the heart and lungs sound like no fun. Heal up fast! Its almost riding season. [moto]

...In a deep, large diameter vein, which can break loose and go the lungs, as opposed to a superficial vein (could get thrombophlebitis). DVT's come from immobility or states that make you prone to coagulation - recent surgery, cancer, other illnesses.
