Title: 848 wheel swap (to a SSS monster)
Post by: ♣ McKraut ♣ on February 04, 2009, 09:23:10 AM
on the off chance i found someone with an 848 that was selling/trading their wheels, are they a match for the S*R?  i was pretty sure the rear was, but wanted to see if anyone knew for sure, or had FHE with using 848 wheels on the SSS monsters.

thx!   [thumbsup]

I'm pretty sure the rear will fit, but no FHE.

AFAIK, the front is going to be a problem due to the disc offset, and they're 5-bolt discs, so you can't re-use your existing discs.

I believe since the 999 calipers will work on a Monster (and the 999's had the 5-bolt, 15mm offset rotors same as an S4Rs/t) that you will need a pair of 5-bolt discs to get the correct offset to make it work.  Other than that, should be good.
