Title: High mount pipes for Termi's
Post by: Two dogs on February 04, 2009, 04:24:07 PM
I have noticed that most of the images of M695 in the Nth Hemi have high mounts for their Termi's

Does any one know the cost of pipes alone for this mod and will they fit slip ons or is it a complete Termi kit
system?
And if so where can they be sourced ?
cheers

You can always source it from the dealer shop, it depends on what you want?? clip on or full system??
For a clip on you are looking at somewhere around 2k. I am not too sure for a full system, but my estimation is around 3-4k

There are some other brands on the market are pertty good as well, I am using the clip on QD high mount they sound awesome and great looks
They are apperantly on sales at motowheels, i brought my one recently for less than Au$1000 included shipping. Great deal

Thanks spawn , funny it was the photo of your bike that you posted recently that made up my mind about high mount's
nice bike by the way !
I have just returned from Cortis exhaust where they quoted on S bending two S/S pipes and forming a bracket to mount on the frame for $ 200.00  [clap] SWEET !!!
As I already have low mount Termi slip ons  they will set it up so I can unbolt the S bend and the slip ons to put back the OEM pipes when I trade the bike down the road.

I went to Frasers enquiring about termi's for my 620.

There were some low mounts available at a pretty good price of around 1200 or so... I then asked if its possible to make these high mounts and they said no because they would stick out too much (the high mounts actually have a slighter shorter muffler) so perhaps keep this in mind if it applies to the 695.

They then managed to find a set of highmount termis which would be 2.2k.. ecu and airfilter extra.

That is a really sweet deal, i spent $440 at Liverpool exhaust just to fit the left handside of the pipe on to my 620.(this exhaust is actually build for 695 only) :-X

well if matty's bike moves without pipes, there may be some high moung Ti Arrows on the market....

2.2K for pipes on a 620 is silly - dude, even with the dollar in the crapper, you'll get better OS.

Yep that's true on both accounts.
$2.2k for pipes on a 620 is nuts, my MIVV slip-ons were $770 from memory.

and yes there will most likely be bits on the Market in early-mid March.

Definitely check out O/S,  ;D

When our $$$ was good I landed a set of Arrows high mounts for my DS for around $950 to my door from Chris and the gang at CA-Cycleworks.  [thumbsup]

Whereas the best quote I got from Oz (Troy Corser Imports) was around the $1450 plus delivery  :o

Thanks for the advice about the slip ons  maybe being too long , if I get this done to fit in the frame length can anyone tell me if there is a down side too having pipes with an S bend with angles that are too extreme on gas flow and motor performance ?

BTW, the Arrows are a shorty type muffler also.  [thumbsup]

As far as I know, the hi mount Termi system comes in 2 bits. The cans and the S pipes. I don't think you can use low mount cans on the hi mount S pipes. Whereas the lo mount are just the cans with the pipe to slip into your existing header.

There are alot of options out there so you don't have to limit yourself just to Termi's. Arrow, Sil-Moto, MIVV, Staintune, D&D, Quat D, Remus, Akrapovic etc etc.
