Hey all,
I recently purchased a new Nikon D80 and thought I would share a pic I took today.
Let me know what you think.

It's not bad. Reminds me of the pics that manufacturers take when they are trying to show you a new model without showing everything...
Cool pic!
Very cool. Can you give some tips ;D

I can barely see it. Have you considered installing some fork reflectors to make it more visible?

I got the original effect by using a 70 watt light bulb hanging over the bike. I kept moving the light source until I got the desired effect.
Nikon D80 set to manual mode. ISO 200, F4, 1/3" I played a little with the contrast after some photoshop touch up.
Awesome picts, mash. [thumbsup] [clap]
I have the D80 as well. Make sure you get the wireless remote. Best 20 bucks you'll ever spend.
I really like the second angle (from the rear). Very professional looking. Nice job.

Great pics!

This is a good thing to have. I have one for my D70 and it's very very handy for low-light situations ~

depends on the camera... i'm sure you can disable the flash and set the iso. the long exposure is the trick, though, and not all p&s cameras have the ability to do that.
As Derby mentioned you may be able to do it with a point and shoot. There's also a bit of photoshop involved to get it just right if you do it the way I did it.
I didn't have a large black drop cloth to blacken out the background so it really took some time setting up the over head light to get it just right. Even though the picture looked pretty good you could still see some of the background in the original photo so with a little help from photoshop I was able to get the effect that you see.
