Title: light clutch feel after installing new pressure plate Post by: RavnMonster on February 06, 2009, 07:34:19 AM Hey guys,
I just put my new Ducati performance red anodized clutch plate on last night with my speedymoto springs and caps. I torqued the bolts down to 5nm just like the instructions said but the clutch feels a little light. The lever seems to travel further before the clutch engages (or disengages) when I pull on it. It seems to operate ok, but is there an adjustment for the lever somewhere? or some other way to adjust this? thanks Title: Re: light clutch feel after installing new pressure plate Post by: JEFF_H on February 06, 2009, 08:43:53 AM There should have been a mark on the pressure plate that lines up with the hub post that has a groove on it.
with these aligned the plate clicks down into place, without it aligned...it doesnt go down far enough. might want to check these were lined up first Title: Re: light clutch feel after installing new pressure plate Post by: RavnMonster on February 06, 2009, 10:17:46 AM it was aligned I checked it when I installed it.

It's right in front of of the pivot point.

Is it possible you cured a stiction problem while changing the plate, like the push rod binding in the throw out bearing?

thanks for the suggestions anyhow. Title: Re: light clutch feel after installing new pressure plate Post by: He Man on February 08, 2009, 06:05:27 PM classic case of "i touched it and now its not the way it was" itis. [thumbsup]
