Title: Headlight Adjustment
Post by: dragonworld. on February 08, 2009, 12:44:24 AM
After doing my fork oil and replacing of the head stem bearings, I found that I marked the position (for reassembly) of everything except the headlight !  [roll] Doh !

So does anyone have the local spec for the correct aiming thereof please .  [thumbsup]

In any case you can down load the user manual from the Ducati owners manuals on   oz monster portal in FAQ's  (http://www.ozmonster.org/index.php?view=category&cid=1%3Amotorcycle&option=com_quickfaq&Itemid=24)

the spec i think is for the top of the low beam cut off to be 9 / 10ths of the height of the headlight centreline at 8 metres away. i usually use 675mm from the ground at 8 metres away as a std.

Thanks all.  [thumbsup]

Thats a better one Brad, finding a flat 8 to 10 metres is the problem. ;)

I'll do it at work tonight in one of the train service sheds (150 metres noooo problem.  ;D )

Looked at my owners manwell last night for the first time (Only had the bike nearly 2 years,  [roll] )

And thanks for your eloquent and informative assistance Jukie.  [bang]  [cheeky]  [thumbsup]
