Anyone know the best glue to use to fix a broken tank panel tab on a 696 tank panel. I'd like to know before trying something that would eat the plastic.
I use JB weld on everything. I assume the tank panel is some sort of plastic ABS so almost any 2 part epoxy will give you a good hold. Scuff up the surfaces to be bonded with some sand paper or scotch bright. If you can, re-enforce the break with another piece of similar plastic and glue the whole thing together. Good luck.

Great, that's what I thought but wanted to check. Thanks! [beer]

i was wondering when one of us would do that. how'd it happen?
I think it was bent by original owner. I replaced tank panel one night and oops! Very thin plastic where tab attaches to panel.
