Title: how to find the source of a phone number
Post by: Manny on May 13, 2008, 11:01:55 PM
i've been getting calls from the 310 area code (Santa Monica, CA, i think). when i answer, i just get beeps. i know it's not bill collectors or someone else who might have a reason to call me at nearly effin' midnight. so i assume it's a company trying to call me ...

how do i figure out what company this number belongs to so i can call them on their main line and rip somebody a new one?

Or just type the number into google. It usually has something listed unless it's a cell phone...

this is the only source that had any information. even google didn't show anything 'cause it was an automagic computer on a dedicated fax line.

called these guys and found out that it was some insurance company who's computer freaked out and tried to fax a bunch of stuff to random numbers. i guess this company's number is close or something, so they've been getting calls like mine all morning. incompetent bastards waking my ass up in the middle of the night.... [grumble, grumble]

thanks ya'll.

back to your regularly scheduled programming.  [coffee]

You might be onto something for a script idea. Throw in a bit of They Live's subliminal advertising, and roll in the box office receipts! By DMF Productions.  [thumbsup]
